Ouch. That couldn't have been overly pleasant.

It sure wasn't. I had a chipmunk cheek on one side.

Oh, I've had those nights. Awful. :(

The worst.

But at least you did get a party one night. :)

I'm happy we got one!

I tried that last time... it was pretty good, but I don't feel the need to rush back for another.

I felt the same. I enjoyed it but haven't been back to get another yet.

ooohhh... those sound great.

They sure were. We've been back since and gotten them.

Way to go DISboards editor.

:sad2:

Out of the three meals, this is the one I'd pick. Easily.

I'm glad we agree.

Nope. I'll pass on the rum, thanks.

Not the rum. . .

That sounds good. I like sweet, so maybe??

It was but not great.

That sounds really good.

I would get it again.

Good to know. I think last time I was there, I didn't bother with that one. Might have to change my mind.

Canada usually has some really good options. You just have be willing to wait in the usually long line.

mmm... I keep forgetting to do that!

Once you walk in it's hard not to get some.

Well, that's not okay. And from my home!

I'm sure it's usually real good. It was really dark so I don't thing they realize what they served. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm glad we agree.
Don't we usually. :)
Not the rum. . .

But yes... the rum.

I don't. I just show my passport and get served immediately.

:rolleyes1
Once you walk in it's hard not to get some.
Disagree!
I always walk in... spy the caramel corn... tell myself to get some after I've looked at the display cases...
And then after drooling uncontrollably, I completely forget about the popcorn and leave!!

The HEA dessert party booking was so stressful! ::yes:: Sorry they didn't have anything for the 20th, but I'm glad you were able to figure out a way to work it into your trip!

All your Flower and Garden food pics are making me excited to go in a few weeks. Good to know the beignet from France was really sweet; I think I was considering getting it but I'm not an overly sweet fan.

The whole dessert party reservations was quite stressful!
I’m excited now that I got our reservations in place!
2 weeks from this Sunday and we will be in Disney, I can’t wait!
Our winter won’t go away, so tired of it! Florida will be such a warm welcome for us!
We love Yak&Yeti and the Landry’s card!

Don't we usually. :)

On most things, but I do like coconut and rum.

I don't. I just show my passport and get served immediately.

Keep telling yourself that.

Disagree!

Such self-control. I'm very impressed.

It was stressful and more so for you. I'm happy with what I have.

It's making me hungry and excited too.

It was! I'm so glad it's over. Now we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

2 weeks from this Sunday and we will be in Disney, I can’t wait!

I love the 2 week from today game. 2 weeks from this Saturday we'll be in Disney.

Our winter won’t go away, so tired of it! Florida will be such a warm welcome for us!

It will be a lot warmer for you. We'll be dealing with the same temps we have here in Baton Rouge. It was 88 Saturday and I was melting.

We love Yak&Yeti and the Landry’s card!

One of the best Disney funny math decision I ever made.

I love the 2 week from today game. 2 weeks from this Saturday we'll be in Disney.
I love that game too and oh how I wish I was playing it right now with ya. Guess I’ll just have to read along in your TR instead. Your trip will be here before you know it :goodvibes

How was your trip? Please tell me you're doing a trip report.
We had a good trip. Managed to do everything we wanted and even got a couple of rides on Tron thanks to the soft opening! I'm not sure about the TR side. I, personally, took maybe 2 pictures the whole week. Most of the time my phone was out of my pocket it was because I was doing something with Lightning Lanes. I didn't take any notes either. And since I didn't even finish our 2019 TR I'm just not sure I should start another. :lmao:

I wish you were playing it too.

Trip is getting really close.

Oh, no. It's shear dumbness. I get overwhelmed with all the gorgeousness behind those glass partitions and all thoughts just go pfffttt out of my head.
Chocolate/caramel brain overload.

I can understand this too. There really is a lot to chose from. I might not walk out with the caramel corn but I'm going to walk out with something.

So glad you had a good trip!

So what did you think of Tron? I want to to try it but Dennis isn't so sure. He has a fear of heights and being able to see how high up he is.

I understand about the pictures and we do seem to be on our phones too much now when we're in the parks.

Please share as much as you can about your trip. I would love to see an updated photo of the family if you have one.

I liked Tron a lot! I wish it was a little bit longer but it is fast and fun. I really didn’t feel like the heights were bad as it is a launched coaster and when it goes high outside of the building you’re moving fast and come back down quickly. He can see that part of the ride though so he can probably watch and make the call. Inside is very dark. Not so much up and down movement as going fast and making hard turns. You really can’t tell how high you are inside.

We all enjoyed Tron, but The bigger kids said their favorite new ride was Guardians. Our little guy was tall enough for most roller coasters and was brave enough to try BTMRR but didn’t love it. We kind of picked and chose from there what we tried to get him on and tried not to push him too much. He got to skip guardians, Everest and space. He did ok on flight of passage and smugglers run but told us he didn’t want to do them again because they shook him around too much. His favorite rides were Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story Mania and Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway.

Sounds great to me. Maybe Dennis would be okay. He loves RRC because he can't see the heights. The only reason we got him on TOT was because Danielle teased him. She rode for the first time when she was 4 and he sat it out, next trip he had to ride.

Dennis loved Guardians, me not so much. I'm hoping it was just due to my anxiety of getting motion sickness. I'm willing to give it another try. Sounds like the big kids liked getting to try so many new to them rides.

I'm glad he found some rides he really liked.

I LOVE this photo! Your family is beautiful and the kids have grown so much. Your oldest looks like he's getting really close to Mom's height. Thanks for sharing!

More Food- Wednesday, May 5, 21 Magic Kingdom
Today was our last park day so we ended it with more time in Magic Kingdom. We had a lunch ADR at Skipper Canteen and Danielle had a Capture Your Memories @ 3:45. This had just been announced right before we went and she wanted some graduation type photos.
We started with breakfast at Gaston's. Who doesn't love a big gooey cinnamon roll?

Our ADR at Skippers was for 11:30. The park had opened at 8 am and our breakfast treat was at 8:30 so we were plenty hungry. This was our second visit here and we were excited to be back.
1680664130340.png

We were seated in the main dining area this time. I'm really glad we were in a different room than last time. There was nothing wrong with our seating last time, this just gave us something new to explore.

1680664181186.png
I'm sorry I can't remember the lines we were given but we always enjoy the interaction with the seaters and waiters/waitresses here. There is always so much to see in whatever room you're seated in.
1680664312758.png
1680664342316.png

We started with Pao de Queijo (Brazilian bread) that is on the secret menu. I had read about this on several reports but @StarWarsMomofGirls! is the report that comes to mind right now.

1680664513460.png

These were so good and we soon made them disappear.

1680664571261.png

Dennis and I both got the "Taste Like Chicken" Because it is! Crispy-fried Chicken with Sweet Chili Glaze, Stir-Fried Vegetables and Jasmine Rice. It was pretty good. I really liked the glaze on the chicken.

1680664825973.png

Danielle had the Perkins Thai Noodles with Chicken, which are no longer on the menu. She really has a thing for noodles.

1680665138452.png

We skipped getting dessert here because we all wanted to get a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle. Dennis had the Pineapple Dole whip cup while Danielle and I tried the Raspberry Swirl Cup. These really hit the spot in the heat.

Continued.

More Food, well not really, just lots of photos.

We left not too long after lunch so we could freshen up and Danielle could get ready for her photo session. We lucked out and ran into Kaitlyn while crossing the hub.
1680665644959.png

When we came back Danielle had to check in at Town Hall next to Tony's. She had a Photo Pass photographer and a CM to do crowd control. She chose her afternoon time slot to hopefully gets some photos without too much shadow, but boy was it hot. Please excuse the shinny faces. She started with photos by the Casting Door located on Main Street. This is photo all CPs try to take and I'm sure newly hired CMs do too. They were very appropriate now that she knew she was coming back.

1680665958309.png

She took some photos around the Hub with her graduation cap she and Michelle had decorated.

1680666033190.png

We were then taken to one of the side sections near the castle. This area really does make for great photos and we have been back there for more photos. Here's one I took of her photo session.

1680666165563.png

And some of the photos taken there.

1680666210752.png
1680666241874.png

When you set your session up they ask you how many people and we had set it up for just her but they asked us to jump in for a few photos. We were not prepared for this so were not looking our best. We had the same thing happen when we did Dominic's 1st birthday session in AK. They have been very flexible with adding people both times we have done this.

1680666432077.png

She did some photos by the mosaics and finished at the wishing well. We did loose the graduation hat in the well, but it did dry back out.

1680666577107.png

I highly recommend this service. I'm so glad she did these.

I have more food to share but really need to stop now.

Danielle’s photos are fabulous! Such a beautiful girl. Love the cap and especially love the photo of you and Dennis giving Danielle a kiss on the cheek. She looks so happy😍
I had not heard of this service. Is it expensive? The photos are gorgeous :goodvibes

Today was our last park day
Boo!
There should never be any last days. :(
so we ended it with more time in Magic Kingdom.
But if you're going to end it, I can't think of a better way or place to do so.
We started with breakfast at Gaston's. Who doesn't love a big gooey cinnamon roll?
mmmm.... love that cinnamon roll.

::yes:: Agree! Don't have a problem with any room, but it's nice to see different ones.
We started with Pao de Queijo (Brazilian bread) that is on the secret menu.
Never heard of this. Can you describe it a bit?
We skipped getting dessert here because we all wanted to get a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle
::yes:: :thumbsup2

Oh, really! I wouldn't have thought you'd get a CM for crowd control too. Wow, what a brilliant idea.
She chose her afternoon time slot to hopefully gets some photos without too much shadow, but boy was it hot.
She looks great. Really lovely photos of Danielle.
When you set your session up they ask you how many people and we had set it up for just her but they asked us to jump in for a few photos.
Nice. :)
Awww. :)
We did loose the graduation hat in the well, but it did dry back out.
 Oh well!

(yes. pun intended. ;))
