Caroline enjoying your trip report and photos. I enjoy vacationing with my sister too. She is a great travel partner.

My sister is a big Disney fan and I’am a big Universal fan. I will have to admit I would have to do some homework to understand Genie + ride arrangements.

I enjoy reading your trip reports on the Universal board! My daughter and I are going to HHN this fall, I’m really excited to do it again! I’m thinking we might do the Lights on tour. My sister and I really liked the tour!
Genie+ is ridiculously time consuming and just to much! I sure hope they change it! I hear rumors it might be changing some!

So nice to have a slow morning on the balcony at WDW! I am afraid I am someone that holds up the line, like 50% of the time my fingerprint does not work. I have to have mine reset every trip at least twice, ugh! Not sure why they can't just use the photo they took of me last time they reset mine like Disneyland does Yum, Satu'li, never change! Love when Dinosaur has a short standby! Bummer on the la cava margaritas! I think they pre-mix everything now, which is a bummer. I still have yet to try frushi, some day my trip dates will align! Hooray for international CMs! And what a bummer on Remy being down, Epcot is so spread out it's the worst when you walk so far for no reason!

It really is nice to have a balcony! I love to spend as much time outside as possible. Being from Minnesota you know what I mean!
The fingerprint thing ugh! The stuff I saw was a whole different level of holding up the line!
Satuli and Dinosaur, what would could possibly make a day better!
I saw the CM make the margaritas by hand but still disappointing this time and so expensive, ugh!
Frushi is really a must try at F&G!
I was really bummed about Remy, I had a great plan and it just didn’t work! I checked as we were leaving the park and it was still down!

I enjoy reading your trip reports on the Universal board! My daughter and I are going to HHN this fall, I’m really excited to do it again! I’m thinking we might do the Lights on tour. My sister and I really liked the tour!

You and your daughter will have a blast at HHN together. I have done the Unmasking the Horror Tour for a few years now and I really enjoy it. It is always nice to get to see things in houses that are missed during the night. The Tour guide shares great backstory information on the houses.

So nice to hear your sister enjoyed HHN last year too.

If you like a fruit salad with rice, it is similar to that. It is light and refreshing

I like fruit salad. I like rice. I do not like them together. Rice pudding is not something I care for.

It is frustrating but really why say such stupid things! The poor CM standing there was getting so many negative snarky remarks from guests!

I usually try to compensate by being overly nice to the poor CM.

Purchased Genie+ MK/HS (Fantasmic dining package for 8:30 show)

Paid for 7DMT

Today our plans included MK in the morning and DHS in the evening. Our first Genie+ ride was PPF for around 11am and 7DMT was reserved for 11:30.

We took the relaxing boat to MK and arrived at 9am. We started with PoTC. We were able to do quite a few rides without a wait. We did HM,




Under the Sea, Teacups, and PM.




We decided to share a Mickey pretzel with cheese. It was around 10:30am. Lunching Pad was hopping, apparently people love hotdogs for breakfast! The pretzel was fresh and the cheese was nice and warm! Two thumbs up

A lady came to our table and asked if she could sit and eat her hotdog with us. Sure no problem, we enjoy talking to other guests. Her family was somewhere around and she couldn’t find them right now. Maybe she wanted a break from them.

She was from New Jersey and she told us they have spent the entire morning waiting in line for Tron! It has been down all morning. They finally bailed the ride and are hoping they can ride later since they did pay to ride.
We decided not to try for Tron this trip. Donna was nervous about getting on and off the bike! I’m glad we didn’t try to ride this morning!
We enjoyed visiting with her and soon she saw her family at another table and headed over there. We finished our pretzel and worked our way to PPF. “Poor Nana”, actually this was true Nana’s one eye was not working properly and she looked very weird!

Our next ride was 7DMT, we paid for this “fancy ride” and it was thoroughly enjoyed by us! We didn’t get our picture! We also didn’t get our Pirates picture today. I noticed the lines looked really long this trip for our paid rides, however, The lines moved fast for almost all of our paid selections.

Next we did Buzz, Pooh, and Dumbo with Genie+.

No Galactic Hero’s here!!
We took another spin on PM. PM kept stopping so we had an extra long ride. I think Tron was back up running at this time.

Our final Genie+ was BTMR. We first stopped and got the delicious cheeseburger spring rolls. These are amazing! The special sauce is the bomb capital YUM!
We still had some time before Big Thunder so, of course, we went to see the Country Bears, ya all come up and see me sometime! How many of you like this show? I really do and think the show is really funny. We enjoyed singing and dancing well dancing in our mind with the Bears

It was now time to ride Big Thunder. We had row 15, wow you are whipped around in the back! It was really fun but a little more wicked!

We decided to take the wonderful train back to Mainstreet station. There is a train station in Frontier Land right by the closed Splash. Pro tip the bathrooms at Splash are still open and it is really quiet back there.

There are benches to sit and relax on away from the crowds.

Once back at the front of MK, we took the boat back to WL.

We thought it would be relaxing, however, it sure wasn’t. A lady with her 2 year old son sat in front of us and she didn’t watch him, and he almost fell over the side of the boat. I had to grab him! Yikes She was like oh sorry and put her hand on him but still kept her eyes on her phone! Ugh I was a nervous wreck watching the little boy! I needed a Drink and I was very happy when we arrived at WL! Bummer we didn’t have time for a drink of the alcohol kind. We had just enough time for a Diet Coke, a bathroom visit, and a minute to enjoy our towel art from Mousekeeping before we needed to head to DHS!

Haunted Mansion is one of the thing`s we`d do if we ever did go back to Disney, it is a lot of fun.

Oh the kid in the boat is terrifying....we saw many similar incidents with folks only paying attention to their phones!! Crazy.....but glad you caught him, and yes, I`d be ready for a drink too.

You have very busy days and manage to do a lot in them!

I love Country Bears! I'm not sure anyone else in my family enjoys it, but they put up with it for me. It is the one memory I have from the one day I had at the Magic Kingdom as a child. I literally can't remember anything else but that show, so it holds a special place for me.

LWTL was a walk on and we did this right after Soarin.

I love this ride. Disney is now putting in more props related to each Festival. The ride is very relaxing and never gets old!

LwtL with the seasonal enhancements are the best!

We headed to The Mexican Pavilion. The price of Margarita’s at La Cava is ridiculous now, however, we headed straight there.

The line was actually pretty short and we were even offered a table! Normally, I would jump on this except we had more booths to try! We ordered our $$$ cucumber margaritas and headed out. For the price, we were a little disappointed! The drinks were weak and didn’t have the flavor like the last time I got one. I probably won’t head back to La Cava anytime soon. Two thumbs down

I just don’t feel spending $40.00 on two drinks with the tip is worth it. Way to steep for what we got.

I am sorry to hear that La Cava has gone downhill. The drinks are so pricey, at the very least you should get a good quality drink!

We decided to ride SE before heading out. I know we didn’t use the extra hours for top rides but Remy was the only one we really wanted in the extra 2 hours.

A perfect Evening!

We headed out to the bus stop and a bus pulled up right when we arrived, perfect!

I had MMRR with Genie+ for 3:50-4:50

We saw Frozone posing as we made our way through the park!


Once we arrive we rode this right away! I love the nod to the GMR! Andi and I loved the old DHS with the Backlot tour and GMR! We were bitter at first but now, we really enjoy all the new additions to the park, and we have all our memories of the old attractions.


Right after the ride, we checked in for dinner at MM. The ADR was at 4:20pm. It was crazy busy in the waiting area and mobile check in was not working.

We waited about 10 minutes to check in at the hostess stand. Once checked in, we were seated around 4:40, so not too bad.

The Fantasmic Dining Package included, soda, 1 appetizer or 1 dessert and 1 entree

We decided to get 1 appetizer and 1 dessert. We went with the calamari for the app. This was very good!

I had the strip steak with the Mac and cheese, and Donna had the chicken parmigiana.

We decided on the Tiramisu for dessert. We shared the app and dessert.

Nice warm bread was brought out with olive oil and butter. I loved the bread it was really good with both the butter and the olive oil.

We had a very nice waitress and she didn’t disappear for long periods of time yay! This is sometimes a common theme at Disney restaurants.

The food was really good. My steak was the winner.

The chicken parmigiana was okay, the chicken wasn’t dry but the coating on it was a little dark, not burnt but close!


The Tiramisu was fair. I have had way better. It had way too much cocoa powder on it!

We really enjoyed our meal. We both had Diet Coke for our drink choice and had a couple refills.

We finished up and got our pass for Fantasmic seating. I think we were done eating and ready to head out within an hour.

We had Genie+ for Smugglers run next. I noticed Hondo, the animatronic, was not working today, he was covered up.

We were pilots and a family of four was in the ship with us. They did not speak English and it was a riot listening to them behind us, maybe swearing at us??
We were not stellar pilots but did okay! It was fun, we laughed the whole ride.


We did TSMM next with Genie+, and noticed Slinky dog was down.

Alien SS next with Genie+


We could have done ToT at 7pm with Genie+ . I almost convinced Donna to ride it. She wasn’t sure she would enjoy it especially with a full stomach. We decided to look in the shops and have some ice water before Fantasmic.

We went in to the seating area around 7:45. We had center seats about 1/2 way up. Really Good seats. We just had ice water. We were still to full from supper to get any popcorn or snacks!

The show as excellent we loved it! It had been at least 4-5 years since I had been and Donna’s first time. I loved the new floats and Steamboat Willie as the captain of the boat at the end!

The story is very good and Mickey is my hero! He is amazing in the show!

We slowly worked our way out and took a Lyft back to the resort. We got back by 9:35. It was so much better than waiting on a bus.

We chilled and watched 1 more episode of the Night Agent.
