We are here now (sitting at SAB as I type)... I was really hoping for a full balcony..and we scored! Got upgraded to CL and the room is huge. I have to say tho my one complaint (minor) is the coffee... Lol it's terrible and you have to wait till 7am to get it! Lol early riser here. MK was a lot more crowded than 2 years ago when we came... I knew Epcot would be and boy is it! Food has been great- raglan road was our fave so far! Beaches and cream- ice cream to die for...
Couldn't do the kitchen sink... It's day 4 of 6 and it's going way too fast!
We stayed at POR in 2012 and the food choices (and coffee)... Oh and bus service were all much better! Do love it here; think the pool is a tad over-rated... Would stay here again!
Thanks for checking in with your comments.
OK- the comments about coffee caught my eye as I am a very early riser as well...
Is the coffee in the lounge not available until 7? And terrible? Once the work on the lounge is open, I hope they have it available earlier than that and have a decent system. It may be too late for you, though
I think you can get a cup of coffee in the Marketplace starting at 6:30 and possibly from the Ale & Compass lounge in the YC lobby even earlier (6 am I have read)
I know that can be a bit of a haul, but I love walking the resort early in the morning. So peaceful and beautiful!
Enjoy the rest of your stay.
Restaurant and Food Allergy Info
Ok now since we have our trip planned I need to start looking at places to eat. We will do 1 character meal and then probably do 1 or 2 table and quick the rest. It will be me,wife, mother and 16yr old son with special needs so will need wheelchair access. We have been to Disney once 4 yrs ago thru Kidd's Kid's organization and we went unprepared.Need advice on the best places to eat or any other info please. Thanks
Great suggestions from others about checking out menus and posts in the restaurant section of the DIS- one of my favorite things to do when planning a Disney trip.
But the folks here do have lots of experience and helpful info.
A couple of questions for you. For a character meal, are you planning on breakfast, lunch or dinner, and do you know what type of experience you want (Classic Disney Characters- Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Cape May breakfast), Princesses- probably not, Winnie The Pooh (Crystal Palace). I hear the characters at Park Faire at Grand Floridian, especially Cinderella's Step Sisters, are a riot but we haven't been to that one.
How about food or other interests- what does your family like to eat? Do you have any special interests? I have two teen boys and they love the Sci Fi Café at Hollywood Studios- it is set up like a drive-in theatre and there is a big screen showing short clips from 50's B movies during the meal. Food is ok, especially if you stick with burgers.
Does Club Level have applesauce for kids and soy milk? My son has food allergies and am just wondering if he will be able to eat anything.
I haven't seen either of these items, but as suggested below, contact the concierge (IPO- Iterinerary Planning Office) as soon as possible to see what your options are. Do you have the email address? I have it posted in the club level post on Page 1 of this thread.
I would get in touch with the concierge at BC Club level to see about applesauce and soy products. They didn't have any out when we were there but I did ask for milk for my little one in the evenings and they always brought some out.
Thanks!

I do know that WDW is very sensitive to those dining with allergy concerns.
Thank you so much for posting these! I am trying to collect information about resources for Dining at Disney, and particularly the Yacht & Beach Club with food allergies or other food restrictions, and I have added the AllergyFreeMouse blog to the resources I have at the end of the Dining Post (Post 7?) on Page 1.
