Had a busy day yesterday. Kitchen faucet broke so I had to replace that. Then my computer monitor died and had to replace that. Good thing today is payday.

Does anyone else here listen to the DIS Unplugged podcast? I've been listening for nearly a year and really enjoy it. It is hosted by Pete (the guy who started the DIS) and several other folks who help run the site. The Disney info is good and the banter is a lot of fun.

(For those who haven't heard of a "podcast" before - it is sort of like a talk radio show on the internet. You can listen on your computer or download it to your MP3 player.)

I download it every week and then listen to it as I drive to and from work (and chaufering DS8 around). My MP3 player plugs into a little device that broadcasts the sound to my car radio. If you click on the orange bar in my signature, it will take you to the podcast's homepage....

Really weird .... I just posted and it didn't show up?!?!

Guess I'll have to try again.

OK, really, really weird!

After I posted my 2nd post, the first one magically appeared above it ....

I guess it is a way to fluff - 3 posts for the price of 1!

I didn't post pics of DS and his birthday Crocs....

This is one of the only photos of him standing still in them:

Once they were on, he was off like a shot!

I pretty much had to pry them off him because he wanted to sleep in them! :rotfl: Luckily the easy way to get him out of these things is to show him his Keen shoes...he'll gladly swap because he's a shoe hoe! :sad2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

He's adorable.

DW and I just got some good news that FIL and MIL agreeded to watch the kids for a couple of days in August. That means that DW and I can actually get away without the kids. It has been almost 2 years since that has happened. Soooo its.....

Super cute! I think the tiny crocs are cute - while the ones I and DS8 wear are rather ugly. BUT, oh so comfortable!

My DS started wearing crocs soon after I did (at least 1.5 years ago) and I have pretty much quit buying him sandals, flip flops or even as many pairs of gym shoes - the kid lives in his crocs! I have talked to other parents who have the same phenomena - what's the point getting them other shoes if they'll only wear crocs day in and day out? :rotfl2:

He is very annoyed that he HAS to wear gym shoes to day camp this week and as soon as he gets home he switches to a pair of crocs.

So, since you are starting him young - I forsee a LOT of crocs in your future!

Was woken up at 4:45am this morning by an earthquake. It was a 4.2 and centered only about 8-10 miles from me. This one lasted quite a while, 15-20 seconds I'd guess. They are usually shorter than that. So far no reports of damage and if there have been aftershocks, I haven't felt any.

I'll have to check that out. I didn't realize that you could download it and put it on an iPod. Thanks for the info.

Monica why do they always happen early in the morning before the alarm goes off. :confused3 We have had very few in the daytime (except the big one you had) but most are in the morning time.

That would scare the bejeebers out of me! Glad everyone is OK and no damage reported.

T.G.I.F.!!!
I am so glad it's Friday. This was a difficult week.
Heading up to Napa Valley on the motorcycle this weekend. The weather will be perfect and I can't wait!

I agree, either early morning, or just as your trying to fall asleep.

Congrats on the vaca Roger.....but.....Vegas in AUGUST????
HOT! HOT! HOT!

That does not bother us. I heard that all of the Sushi restaurants are air conditioned. :rotfl: Going from casino to casino is the only time you are outside. We love to go to Vegas for our escapes because it has so much to do and we don't really gamble.

Vegas baby.

Have a blast!!

DW is going on a girls only trip (well, they haven't been "girls" for 20 years, but you get the idea) with 5 of the ladies that I used to work with/still work with at the Disney Store. They're going in Oct for F&W Festival and MNSSHP.

Lucky me, I'll be sitting through classes!

For those of us natives or long time Californian's, it's no big deal. But I saw an interview this morning with a tourist from Boston. He was pretty freaked out and said he's outta here.....the news anchor followed up and said he was already leaving today anyway :rotfl:

Now we would love to go to Napa for the weekend, but the drive is just to far. Love the wine country in the Fall.

I think in my last 3 trips to Vegas I only gambled once, and that was just to drop a quarter in the slot machine because I couldn't leave without doing some sort of gambling.

Hey, if you're interested in a Cirque show, I was given a link a while back for $50 tickets for all the shows. Let me go find it.....after the run of course.
