A Quintessential LA Day for a Girls Day Out

We are traveling to LA in December before heading to Disneyland. Any suggestions for a girls day out for two fortish... year olds that is unique and a little bit different, not necessarily touristy but definitely LA.

Vague I know, but a real celebration for birthdays.
