Hello wedding and honeymoons board! I had posted a PTR over on the PTR board, but then I really dug into the wedding and honeymoons board and I think this may be a better fit!

Even though I'm not having a Disney wedding, now that I'm 2 weeks away from my wedding (oh my goodness!), I would like to talk a little bit about the wedding as well as the honeymoon. Because honestly, at this point, the planning is kind of running together. :rotfl:

My DF and I live in FL, but I'm from from MD and he's from NY. We decided to have the wedding in MD...and decided to have the honeymoon just down the road from us at the happiest place on earth!

Here's a little bit about us:
I'm Jocelyn - I love wishing Happy Birthday to everyone I see wearing a Birthday button, I love cupcakes (and cake, and cookies...), and Aurora is my favorite princess (though I do prefer her in blue).

My DF is Mike - He is very chivalrous and always offers his monorail seat to others, he loves soft pretzels, and Donald is his favorite character.

We are getting married on October 3, 2009 and going on our honeymoon at Disney October 5-10, 2009.

Our wedding is smallish and very DIY with a touch of vintage shabby chic. Here's a teaser of my dress with my little wedding hat:

I bought my dress 1 year ago, and I've only seen it twice since then! (It's at my parents' house in MD.) This pic is of the last time I went to the seamstress in May, and I won't see the dress again until the day before the wedding!

I'm very excited about the menu for our wedding, and about being on the DxDDP for our honeymoon! I am ready and willing to gain 10 pounds that week! ;)

I'll post more this weekend about our wedding details, and I'll give you a look at what we have planned for every day of our honeymoon, including a sneak peek at our MNSSHP costumes!

Here's our plan for the honeymoon:

Oct. 5
Drive over to Disney and check-in to SSR
Go to DHS
Lunch @ Sci-Fi Dine-In
Go back to hotel and change for...
Dinner @ California Grill (our ADR is at 8pm...we should be able to see Wishes!)

Oct. 6
This is our AK day - we've been saving AK for our honeymoon so we had one new place to go.
Breakfast @ Tusker House
Lunch - Counter Service
We'll leave AK around 4 to go back to hotel and change into our MNSSHP costumes. Then we'll head over to the MK for our...
Dinner @ Tony's
Our dinner ADR is perfect because we are going to MNSSHP as Lady and the Tramp!

Oct. 7
We booked the KTTK Tour for this day! We need to check in at 8:15 and the tour starts at 8:30. I can't wait to learn about all the MK secrets!
Lunch is included in the tour
After the tour, we may ride a few of our favorite rides, but then we'll probably go back to SSR and take a relaxing dip in the pool before our...
Dinner @ Citricos

Oct. 8
This is our sleep-in day. We're planning on going to DisneyQuest on this day and just grab lunch somewhere in DTD, probably Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express.
Dinner @ Brown Derby
This is a Fantasmic night, so maybe we'll stick around for it...or maybe we'll head back to DTD to see Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D! It's only in theaters for 2 weeks.

Oct. 9
Breakfast @ Kona Cafe
Then we're heading to Epcot. We don't have a lunch planned for this day - we'll probably just snack our way through the F&W festival booths. I hope that they're taking snack credits again this year...I know some people are worried that they may have changed this!
Dinner @ Le Cellier
Then, we'll head over to AK for EMH

Oct. 10
Since this is our last day, we're going to get our tired feet massaged at the SSR Spa in the morning before we check out. Then, we'll check out of our room and head to our final honeymoon meal...
Lunch @ Les Chefs de France
Maybe I'll be able to sneak in one more Soarin' ride before we head home. ;)

Some big deals about this trip:
I've never stayed on Disney property before! My DF has, but this is my first time. I'm really excited about that.
Also, I'm a scaredy-cat when it comes to rides. My DF has been working me up toward the "big ones" at Disney, and I promised him that on our honeymoon I'll try RnRR, EE, and Splash Mountain. (Yes, you read that right - I've never been on Splash Mountain!) I've watched the videos on YouTube and I'm actually excited about these now!

I did a first draft of our seating arrangements for the reception last night. We'll have 10 tables and each table can have a max of 8 people. Seating is tricky - there are certain groups that HAVE to sit together, and certain people that shouldn't sit near each other at all (it's like that with all families, right? ;)), so that makes it more difficult.

I got some cute clip art for marthastewart.com and I'll be designing and printing my menu cards, escort cards and table numbers today. Although, I'm thinking I'd like to name the tables rather than number them...I'll have to think of some ideas for that.

Here is what my menu cards will look like (one for each item on the buffet):

Here is what my escort cards will look like:

This week is my last FULL week of work before I have 2 weeks off for the wedding and honeymoon!!! I really need to get cracking on these projects!

Everything looks awesome! I can't wait to hear more. Good luck in the final stages!
