Adventure Ocean Age Question

I am looking at potential Spring 2017 Panama Canal cruises. My DD will be 11.5 at the time of the cruise. Is RCCL very strict on letting a child move up to the next age group?

I think they will make some sort of token protest but they'll let your DD try it out. My younger one at the time was just shy of 3 and they let her do AO with her sister. Obviously a slightly different scenario in your case but just wanted to show that they're willing to play it by ear.

Thank you for answering! I think we are going to do a 5 night over Thanksgiving 2016 on Independence (wanted DCL, but $$$$$$$). She will be 11yrs 2mo at that point so it will give us a better idea.
