Looks like part of the entrance to the land via Toy Story. Behind that "hole" will be a berm separating SW:GE from the GMR and TSMM buildings.Middle left in the below picture.

I was thinking below that circle where the crane is.do you mean the thing that looks like a cave in the dirt? Might just be where they were pulling fill from the mound ... not sure

That is nothing of significance, just a different color in the dirt from them working on that pile. That's the one! Thanks.
I don't think it's a hole, just an indentation. If it were a hole, they'd have culverts or any of a number of osha required things to keep the hole from caving in.

Those actually look a bit old. The RC Racer is nearly finished.New aerials of Toy Story Land in Shanghai Disneyland:

Wonder if they'll eventually do away with the customs house?
CBR still needs its own lobby/Central area.Wonder if they'll eventually do away with the customs house?

They could. It just appears they are keeping the building for customs house so it will serve some purpose. No chance they are adding that to the food court / store / big building refurb ?
"Disney Riviera Resort is scheduled to open in Fall of 2019"
Actually that makes total sense to me. Hotels are known quantities: rooms, restaurants, plumbing, electricity, etc. New rides need custom artwork, ride vehicles, animatronics and tons of testing to make sure it all works. I would imagine lots of rework as well when things don't work as planned."Disney Riviera Resort is scheduled to open in Fall of 2019"
Strange how they can build an entire resort in the same time that it takes them to gut the Great Movie Ride and install the Mickey Ride. Oh well.
