AKV Construction photos from 6/02/07

Here are some construction photos from AKV taken from a variety of locations around the grounds. Many are from various stairwells in Jambo House and several (4th, 5th and 6th) were taken from the parking lot beyond the HCA parking area. This lot will be used for guests staying at Kidani Village once it opens- it is currently being used by resort and construction workers. If you look at the rendering map of the resort, those photos were taken from the area in the lower left about where the legend is located on that map.

were the animals some place else?

The last 2 photos have some Ankole cattle in view. The middle photos are an area with no Savannah nearby - that area will become the pool area and the front of Kidani with the road access to the front desk of the resort (and the road is already there and visible in the photo).

I'm not sure what you might have seen. The 4th photo above was taken from the landscaping just beyond the far end of the HCA lot. The next 2 photos were taken from the next lot beyond the HCA lot - which is being used as a construction lot at this time, but will be used for parking for AKV later on.

Well, I'm not sure either. I didn't see what you have posted....the little huts or whatever they are. But I saw large walls that were the same color and consistency of Jambo House. Two walls as I recall. I also saw a short ramp that seems to match the first entrance into Kidani Village. I was most surprised by how close the construction I saw was to AKL. But I was also on the upper part of the HCA...closest to the lodge. In your picture #4 is that a screen to the far righthand side? If so that wasn't there when I was visiting. I could look down on a fairly wide vista.
