Are Category 4C rooms smaller than 4B?

On the Disney Treasure a lot of rooms are listed as 4c are showing as 241 square feet. 4b and 4a show as 284 sq feet.

Is this correct? I thought all family verandas were 284 sq feet on triton ships.

So, first thing to know is that the total space being shown on the DCL site includes the balcony.

On the Wish, the Deluxe Family with Verandah is a 241sq ft cabin with a 43sq ft balcony.

The Deluxe Verandah is 200sq ft with a 43 sq ft balcony.

The only exception to the size of the balcony is if you get a Category 4E, in which case the balcony can be up to twice the size.

The 3rd (and possibly 2nd depending on your sleeping arrangement preferences) person will be on a pull-out sofa or a pull-down bed, so that extra space is really nice.

That said, the rooms on Disney are typically bigger than other cruise line rooms.

As far as within DCL, the rooms on the other ships are bigger than what's listed for the Wish.

Are you getting your cabin size info from the same source?

241 is the size of the cabin, 284 is cabin + verandah. (Cat 4ABC).

If you are seeing a smaller cabin, it is probably a Cat 5 (they are listed as 241).

For this issue, your best bet is to pick your cabin from a deck plan. The A B C designation should be based on location.

@auntlynne is correct!

Usually Category is the number. 4 being the larger verandah rooms. Typically A is higher decks mid ship (most desirable/favorable locations) then B is next then C.

All the same room, same size

4A is same size as 4C just different places on the ship.

And yes C would also be less expensive than A all else being equal. (In general).

Thanks everyone!

When booking with our agent at DCL Member Services, she explained to me that the computer was wrong and that it is 284 sq feet for categories 4A, 4B, and 4C....

We got our Treasure room in 4C.... as we don't really care whether we are on deck 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 on that particular vessel. We just want a large room and as of right now don't want to do Concierge.

Same here! We booked 7630 which is a bump out veranda. We will have larger veranda than those at both ends of block.
