Be sure to eat this when visiting Honolulu.

If you're ever in the Ala Moana Mall, try Jollibee, a Filipino version of McDonalds/KFC. Try the spaghetti and mango pie.

There was also a Japanese cheesecake vendor. I didn't try it but looked much different than NY or Chicago versions.

If in Waikiki, try Marukame Udon. It is fantastic...
I love this place. Also, we enjoy Tanaka Ramen in Kapolei. Both places are reasonably priced, have good portion sizes, and nice break from Hawaiian cuisine.

Paia Fishmarket is really good as well. They have creole and blackened fish plates(!) The ahi is fantastic. They have a place across from Marugame Udon in Waikiki, but the line there can be really long just like Marugame. There's a newer Paia in Kailua that has much shorter lines, but a bit of a drive from Aulani.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago - Marugame’s line was too long (and we were Hungry). We managed to slip in during a lull in the line. It was really good, but they were out of one of the three fish for the day.
