My dh has recently been converted to a wdw fanatic :cool1:. He wants to learn more about the history and facts about wdw. Since I want to feed his interest ;).....What is the best book for that kind of information?

I would recommend "Since the World Began" as a good first one. If it is still available

As a recent Disney fanatic, myself, I have a recommendation. It's not a book, and not really about WDW, but I loved the documentary, "Walt - The Man Behind the Myth." It can be found on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Walt-Behind-Dick-Van-****/dp/B0001AVZWG
And it is also available on Netflix. Or it's been posted in multiple parts on YouTube.

Books about WDW? I like the Imagineering Field Guide collection. There's one for each park (DHS isn't released yet). They are a great overview of the story behind each park and how the Imagineers went about designing them. A lot of interesting facts in these.

The official book of WDW is great - from details on the rides to the resorts to the transportation network. Some years, they even have coupons in the book for food or shopping discounts. Even though we've been there every year for the last 10 years, I still buy the book through AAA. They can even be bought at Borders & Books.:surfweb:

Realityland was good, can't remember the author. I got it from the library, I know it wasn't written that long ago.

Sorry, I keep getting away from books. But I think this is a great website on the history of Walt's grand vision for the "Florida Project." Very interesting look at the history of what WDW might have been if Walt had been around to follow through.

Mousejunkies! Not really a bunch of facts but is hands down the best read for a Disney addict. You will laugh to you cry and shout out yeah, yeah, your right or i do that throughout the book. It is wonderful.

Here's a link for another good book - Mousejunkies!

I bought it for my dh and he enjoyed it.

Ha ha! I just finished reading this book, and I agree -- it made me laugh out loud several times. It's not hard-core with facts and touring plans like some other books are, but it's a really fun read that I think best captures the spirit of why so many adults are Disney fans.

After I was done with it I passed it along to my wife (never been to WDW), and she's even more excited about our upcoming trip than she was before.

I definitely recommend Mousejunkies :thumbsup2

I just reserved mousejunkies from our local library (along with several others). :goodvibes. I will checkout the website as well. Thanks everyone.

I own "Walt - The Man Behind the Myth" and I just love it. I can watch it many times without getting sick of it!
