Hi

We are looking at booking our Disneymoon for 26th April for 13 nights. Are studios usually easy to get at the 11 month mark here? We will be renting points.

Also is it worth the difference going for a preferred view over a standard view?

Aware that the opening of Galaxy's Edge is likely going to make the BCV and BWV extremely popular.

Thanks in advance.

Std View studios are always hard to book at BWV because they are point-savers and there are not a lot of them. Getting a Garden/Pool View will be much easier. And late April/early May is not a high-demand time for DVC, so I would expect that you wouldn’t have an availability problem for G/P studios.

However, I will point out that a rental agency will not seek an owner to book your stay until ALL nights can be booked. The way DVC booking works is that an owner can book up to 7 consecutive nights when their 11-month booking window opens. To book a longer stay, they first have to book the first 7 nights and modify the reservation when the window opens for the extra nights. A rental agency will not ask an owner to do that. They will wait until an owner can book all 13 nights for you before they ask someone with sufficient points to book. This puts you at a disadvantage compared to a renter that wants only 7 nights. It also means that owners will be booking for themselves during that time as well.

And then there’s the question of whether the agency has a BWV owner with enough points to book two weeks. That can take a little longer. If you’re open to the idea of a split stay, you may find that it will be easier to book a week at one resort and then the remaining nights at a second resort.

And adding to the above, as far as which view is better, many place pool/garden view as only somewhat better than standard view. However, boardwalk view, if you can get it (tends to stay open during the 11 month window longer than standard view for that time of year), is much better than any views.
