Today we had another late start, owing to being absolutely shattered the day before!
We got up late (Around 9:30/10) and got ready to head to the village for shopping! Robert had picked his toy that he wanted from me, so I headed off to buy that while he went to buy my pressies:
We met just outside Buffalo Trading, where he was thrilled to finally get his mitts on his Indiana Jones! I'd also bought him some sweeties, and said he could pick a plushie from the Disney Store.
I was over the moon with the bag of goodies he bought me! He bought me a cuddley Chip and Dale (Who we call Tic and Tac because we honestly think it sounds better!), a little toy Wall-E and a Big Thunder Mountain pin....
We then headed to the Disney Store for Robert to pick his plushie. He chose the green alien from Toy Story (Who he has named 'Bob Jnr' because he says he looks like me!! ):
We then bought other people's pressies- Coffee mugs, fridge magnets, etc.... We also intended to buy wine from the Duty Free on the way home as pressies....
Shopping duly done, we headed off for our 12noon reservation at Cafe Mickey.... We had a fab meal and a wonderful time, which I shall report on the CM thread!
I felt a little disappointed that I hadn't yet met Donald Duck on this trip, even after CM, so can you imagine my delight when we returned to the Newport and found him quacking around the lobby?!!
Not the best piccie because Robert was weighed down with shopping bags! But I was thrilled, and its not a bad picture overall!
We collapsed onto our beds in the room momentarily because we were stuffed!! We'd noticed that the rooms along our corridor were getting their sheets changed, etc, so we decided to dump the shopping and head to the bar....
I had a Serum Magique, which is Sprite and Bubblegum syrup (Very VERY good!):
While Robert opted for Nectar des Nymphes- Minute Maid Orange Juice, Sprite and Passionfruit syrup:
As you can tell, I really enjoyed these:
We really liked Fishermans Wharf.... We thought it was a lovely bar.... The atmosphere was really nice, and it was very comfortable....
We headed back to our room, where we packed for the journey home the next day
After this, we got changed and headed back to the bar for some more cocktails.... Robert had Nectar des Nymphes again, whilst I went for a Larme de Lutin, Fanta Citroen and and a teeny, tiny drop of Blue Curacu syrup (Which was probably actually just Blue Syrup as we think these are off a kids menu! ):
For our next round, I had Poudre d'Etoiles, which is Sprite and Strawberry Syrup:
While Robert had Larme de Lutin....
We then headed off for our last evening meal of the trip at the Chicago Steakhouse, which was very good if a little chaotic.... Again, a review will be posted on the correct thread.....
Robert then decided he wanted an engraved wristband from Buffalo Trading:
('Bobbins' is his screen-name and blogging alter-ego!)....
We had a little look around the now much quieter shops before heading back to the Newport. Once there, we showered and packed the remaining bits and pieces away.... We flopped into bed, feeling quite sad we were leaving tomorrow........
