Question from a newbie cruiser and music downloader. I will be on the Dream Dec. 15-19 2014 for my wedding cruise 
All my guests are also newbies cruisers. I am making a replica little suitcase with all the information for the cruise. I would love to add a music CD to get them more excited for the cruise. Where can I go to download music free or very low cost? Money is very tight!

what a neat idea to have a "put you in the cruise mood" playlist... thanks for starting it... will grab some of the songs you listed from itunes and create one myself.
It's not Brazil, but I always put "Girl from Ipanema" when we arrive at our SR...It always reminds us of the beach and the ocean...
Speaking of...it's on your list and I can't remember hearing it on pirate night: Do they sing "Drunken sailor"? It's my favorite pirate shanty but it might be a bit innapropriate for the younger crowd onboard...

Yes, Girl from Imp is a good one!!! And, I can't take credit. The list on the first page is a compilation over the years from many Disers. Anyone can post a song they feel gets them in the mood for cruising or vacay or summer and I will add it to the list!!!

MJ, I can't believe I never noticed your thread. We have a cruise coming up and would love to play the CD as we go to the port and afterwards as we go to Disneyland. Thanks for bumping this thread!

BTW, I noticed Kenney Chessney has several songs on your list. I'm not familiar w/country music nor his music. There are so many songs on the list. It's going to take me time to decide which songs to pick for our DCL CD that we will play. It'll be yo the San diego port then to disneyland afterwards!!!

If you are preparing a playlist for Alaska, be sure to include songs by Hobo Jim, Alaska's official balladeer. His songs, "I am Alaska," "Wild & Free," Where Legends are Born," and "Iditarod Trail" (and others) are awesome and truly reflect that state's spirit. Also, add Atz Kilcher & Jewel's "The Last Frontier."
