Dinner reservations 50 minutes after park closing?

I was able to get a 50's Prime Time diner for 7:50pm for November 12. However, the park closes at 7:00pm. How is this possible?

They are allowing dining reservations to extend beyond closing time. People have posted that it’s a great chance to walk out of a totally empty park, and maybe get a few great pics (as long as it’s on the route between your restaurant and the exit, they won’t let you wander deeper into the park)
