Here’s another photo I found. Maybe they can do air conditioning with solar??

Solar does not provide enough power for AC. That would be for internal lighting or a information screen.

Haha - sorry! It's just frustrating when you have to plan everything out and then Disney keeps making it crazy! I'm fine! Can we get a wellness check on this poster please. Somebody.. Keep calm, things are not always as they appear.

I did have to call the resorts line today for another issue and I decided to ask about this. The CM there hadn't heard anything about it yet, though we all know how well informed call center CMs are!
Yes its possible but they aren't going to so...I am among those obsessed with the new Skyliner lol.
So....now I found this article.
It is possible to air condition the cars. Not with the solar ha

I am taking it Weedy hasn't been around for the 100 page everlasting AC debate.... I can sum it up in one word. No.Yes its possible but they aren't going to so...
I'm staying at Pop during those dates, but I'll still be pretty annoyed if the international gateway is closed. We use it fairly often.
I would imagine they can loop around the south end of Hourglass Lake and use the AOA entrance. What about where the cable will go over the entrance road to Pop? Would that be closed as well? Would buses be able to get in and out?
The road will likely be closed while they are doing the work. What about where the cable will go over the entrance road to Pop? Would that be closed as well? Would buses be able to get in and out?
Could use solar to run a fan, but wouldn't have enough power to run an AC.Here’s another photo I found. Maybe they can do air conditioning with solar??

That's the most likely scenariobring a bus into CBR to take them to Pop
Which is likely why there is a bus stop at the gondola station. That's the most likely scenario
I'm sure the bus stop is primarily for the internal shuttle. Currently it circles the resort every 15-20 minutes.Which is likely why there is a bus stop at the gondola station.
So I read quite a bit of this thread but missed 100 or so pages in the middle lol. Anyway let’s say a severe weather event occurs and people have to get off at CBR and your hotel is Pop. Are they going to leave people relatively stranded at CBR until the weather clears, make them bus to whatever park is open or closest and then bus to Pop or bring a bus into CBR to take them to Pop. I personally believe they can operate the system in thunderstorms but whether or not they do...
I am so excited for this to open. Hopefully it is open when we are at Pop for 2 weeks starting June 2. I have a fear of heights but never minded cable cars - go figure. I’m not concerned by the lack of AC. I think Disney people are aware it is hot there and took that into consideration.
I wanna ride with those hitchhiking ghosts!
That is also a reason but for a situation where they need to transport guests elsewhere that is also why it’s there.I'm sure the bus stop is primarily for the internal shuttle. Currently it circles the resort every 15-20 minutes.
Buses to the parks make 7 stops around the resort. I'm thinking that they'll at least double the frequency of the internal shuttle so Guests don't have to walk from the farthest reaches to get a ride to Epcot or DHS.
Related question . . .if overnight parking is based on your trip through the security gates at your resort, how will AoA know to bill Pop guests? Or could they just let it slide to compensate for the “inconvenience “?The road will likely be closed while they are doing the work.
Probably the latter.Related question . . .if overnight parking is based on your trip through the security gates at your resort, how will AoA know to bill Pop guests? Or could they just let it slide to compensate for the “inconvenience “?
