Easiest/most affordable travel

Before the pandemic, there was no pickup at the Hyatt. You were directed to go down to the lower level of Terminal B and catch the bus there. A few posters here have reported that they now send a bus directly to the Hyatt for all the guests staying there. I’m not sure if this is for all cruises or only those with enough guests staying at the Hyatt

More specifically, a cast member escorts you from the desk in the Hyatt lobby down to the DCL bus. At least, that's how it was for me in September. It might've changed since then.

Historically people have said if you have more people renting a car is the best way to go (although I hear it has become very expensive).

When we did it in 2019, we flew in the afternoon before. It was me, DH and DS (4) and we did a private car service (they provided the car seats) to the hotel by the port, the hotel had an AM shuttle to the port, and the car service took us home.

Tomorrow just me and DS (now almost 7) are going alone. We’re going to stay at a hotel right by the airport that has a free shuttle and on Monday, I’ve reserved us a shuttle to the port (and they’ll take us back to the airport when we return Friday).

For 3 people in 2019 on the private car it was $225 round trip plus tip. The shuttle this week is going to cost 2 of us $72 plus tip. Car service was super easy. I’ll let you know how the shuttle goes when we get back.

Hope that helps.
How did your shuttle experience go this time around? Which Shuttle service did you use? Any problems? Do you know if I still need a car seat (son will be almost 4) to use the shuttle service? Was the hotel you stayed at ok?

Go Port offer hotel and transportation packages. We’ve used Go Port for transportation before. I recommend.

So we used Port Canaveral Quick Shuttle. It was bad on the way out and good on the way back. I was expecting something like a hotel shuttle or airport size shuttle. No it was just a big van - stuffed full of people (8ish + driver). We were in the back row, it was stuffy, and the music was too loud (thankfully the lady up front turned the music down though). On the way back it was just us and 1 other couple in the same same sized van, and it was fine. They were prompt and good at being in touch both to the port and back. DS is almost 7 and I didn't bring a car seat because in other 'shuttle' cases, it isn't really usable or needed. Also, he sits fine in a booster seat, so I wasn't too worried about him sitting in a regular seat. If my son were still <5, I'd probably want a car seat. I won't use them again, because next time we go down, we'll stay at the port and not by the airport.

Hotel was the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. It was super close to the airport. They sent their free shuttle to pick us up about 10 min after I called. The driver was very nice and gave us some tips on where to walk to for dinner/supplies. We did that after we checked into our room. Hotel was average, nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either. Good for a quick night stay on our way to somewhere else.
