They really aren't anything special in World. Sadly they are just regular flavored. Here I am! And I love me some churros, but only at Disneyland. I have literally never had one at WDW. What’s wrong with me? And where do you recommend I grab one next time I’m in WDW, as I believe this is an oversight that must be corrected?
What is that?!?! I need to watch that and get Morgan watching it.She's currently enjoying the Imagineering in a Box series on YouTube.
Morgna is all of those things except Pluto..She loves Pluto, Star Wars, and meat. Seriously. Her main goal for this trip was to eat as much meat as possible.
It's how we all start...The kids were 5 and almost 3 and we were on our “once in a lifetime” vacation.
It is nice to not have to worry about them.I ultimately decided to prioritize extra time at the resort and slapped those yellow tags on our bags. I ended up being glad I did, as our flight was delayed, so we got in about an hour later than I had anticipated.
Lucky! When we got to DME there was no one else in line and our bus was already there. We proceeded directly onto the bus and the bus started moving about 2 minutes after we boarded.
Even more luck!t was a little strange not seeing it from our own car and it was hard to get a decent picture, but I was still glad to not have to be driving. And our luck continued, as our resort turned out to be the first stop.
They are super creepyBut I have to ask – what is with these creepy chairs?? Forget the clown pool, this is the stuff of nightmares.
I mean would he be a true Donald fan if he didn't get them?We finished the night off by watching a couple of the Boardwalk performers (so fun!) and checking out the gift shop. DH got the first souvenir of the trip and added to his Donald collection with a pair of the duck butt ears because of course.
Yikes! i would have totally panic'd!Well morning arrived and still no bags. After we were all up and dressed I called bell services,
We haven't done it yet, but I don't blame you!. I made an executive decision and called for our first ever Minnie Van. Could we have paid less and used Uber or Lyft? Absolutely. But we are those annoying people who will pay more because they slapped some mouse ears on it. #sorrynotsorry
I felt the same way when we finally tried the lumpia.I had been really excited to try the pongu lumpia, as I am a cream cheese fanatic, but I didn’t love it. It was decent, but not my favorite and I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again. T
It looks like Daisy is clutching her pearls all upset that DH is using her boyfriend as headwear! Ha.
I hate when that happens!Donald turned around and shook his booty a little bit in celebration of the hat once he saw what DH was wearing, but sadly I missed getting a picture of that. Boo.
She is a better spot that Morgan would have been. This is the “I’m way too old for this” face she shot us as she walked by our table.
Man, that is a busy day in MK!Yeah, it didn’t move so fast. Here were the kids when we had finally gotten to the actual line portion, but were still outside.
We tried to hit the fantasyland rides with no fastpasses first thing in the morning, that seemed to help. Although we did skip Peter Pan when we were there.Put those things together and it’s a big fat NOPE from me. However, the kids are insisting that I suck it up and do it this time when we go to Disneyland, and since we’ll have 6 full days in the parks it’s hard for me to use the excuse that we won’t have time. I’ll report back here in November on whether or not I actually got myself to do it.
Joining in! The Boardwalk is one of my favorites, even with the creepy clown pool lol. Glad your kids were converts!
Joining in! DH and I were in July for a long weekend from the 25-28th. We've never gone in July before, and I don't think we will again lol The heat was just too much for us!
Hi! I am here, late but here.
They really aren't anything special in World. Sadly they are just regular flavored.
What is that?!?! I need to watch that and get Morgan watching it.
I mean would he be a true Donald fan if he didn't get them?
I was trying not to!Yikes! i would have totally panic'd!
It made me sad. I really wanted to love them. On paper they're a dream treat for me. Oh well.I felt the same way when we finally tried the lumpia.
It looks like Daisy is clutching her pearls all upset that DH is using her boyfriend as headwear! Ha.
She surprised me!She is a better spot that Morgan would have been.
Ugh, never again in the middle of the day on a Saturday in July. No no no.Man, that is a busy day in MK!
We tried to hit the fantasyland rides with no fastpasses first thing in the morning, that seemed to help. Although we did skip Peter Pan when we were there.
This began another long-running thing on this trip, as the kids started talking about how Disney needs to have a joke transportation trading card featuring walking, which led to the kids deciding they wanted to make one.
So now the Coke guy is “the guy with the gun” for us, but we have to say it quietly so as not to start a panic.
Can you guess what it was? If you said Soarin’, Test Track, Frozen Ever After, or anything else that would make sense you’d be wrong. It was Figment. This was another Alex request.
Your outfits are so cute!
Yeah, totally not into that wait at all.Note that it stretches all the way out of TSL and back to One Man’s Dream
That pumpkin soup is delicious and so is the quiche, some of my favorite choices.DH got pumpkin soup in a bread bowl, Cora got a fruit parfait, Alex got an éclair, and I got a quiche.
I love Epcot too. I was at the D23 Expo and balled, with joy, as they made the Epcot announcements in the parks panel. I also got verklempt as I walked through the Epcot booth on the floor. So many good memories of going early on in its life when I was a kid. I think they are going to do right by it though. I think they are getting rid of the creepy Twilight Zone girl too, at least we can hope
The Toy Story Land visit was hilarious, as usual! Love the whole family matching outfits.
You make a good point about waiting in line and getting to experience the queue. I guess you could say that’s the downfall of using a FP - missing the queue. My boys really want to wait in the standby line for FoP next trip. While I’d like to experience the queue, I don’t know if I want to wait a long time for the ride, or any ride for that matter. I will say, one summer we waited in the standby line for Peter Pan just so we could have some downtime in a cool place. The wait was pretty short for that ride - about 40 minutes, but I really enjoyed the AC.
I love your outfits! So cute!
One of my favorite rides is Spaceship Earth. I can’t believe I’ll never ride it again in its current form. I’m so glad we rode it a few times last trip. I’m excited for the changes to Epcot - they are needed - but I’m not looking forward to the construction that needs to happen for the changes to occur.
I love this! I think it would be fantastic especially with how many steps we take a day in Disney!!
Oo I love this! What a great picture.
I'm with Alex- I love figment!
joining in. great trip so far
Following along! Love your travels so far.
Following along. I also love Epcot and Beach Club is my favorite resort. I actually worked at Spaceship Earth when I did the Disney College program so I have very fond memories of that place. I worked there before the initial refub before they had the pick your future thing. It went down for refub at the end of m program. I prefer the Jermey Irons narration to Judy Dench. I am curious how it will be after the next redo. I can also confirm that girl does have a face lol
Loving your report!
But I have to ask – what is with these creepy chairs?? Forget the clown pool, this is the stuff of nightmares.
Ok one more time, seriously, what the h*** is this??
This time DH and I even got into the Toy Story spirit, as we had Ken and Barbie shirts.
And our first stop in Epcot was for a late breakfast.
If you’re a regular visitor you will recognize that previous picture as the mural on the outside of Spaceship Earth. I love this ride so very much and I knew that this trip would probably be our last chances to ride it in its current form. I took a picture of my favorite animatronic…
DH and I also needed a pic in front of the fountain. This one was taken by Cora.
Instead here is a video of the first time they tried it when they were almost-7 and 4. I love how Alex looks to his sister for guidance as to whether or not he should drink anymore.
Dessert is the reason we will likely return to breakfast next time. This was delicious and we all enjoyed it, but I missed my skillet - the warm gooey yummy amazingness that is the sticky bun skillet. I dream about that thing and I need it in my life again.
