Yes, we own a smallish contract at VB and called at day-by-day at 11months.

We stayed there a couple years ago really enjoyed it. We missed our beach vacations we used to take to Captiva before we started our DVC segment of our life. Saw those beach cottages, and decided that a BC at VB could fill fit our beach vacation needs. After some deliberation, and looking around at other timeshares (not as flexible or as nice), purchased that a smallish contract last fall. I'm just so happy it worked and I was able to get it!
