DH and I are traveling to Vegas next June for 1 week. We are staying 5 mins. off the strip for most of the week and staying on the strip for 2 nights. Our entire vacation (Vegas for 1 week and Disneyland for 3 days) is going to be "free" for all of our hotel stays. So we want to splurge for our 2 night stay on the strip. The choices we are debating are Caesar's Palace, Bellagio, Mirage, and Venetian. I think I would really like to stay at Bellagio with a fountain view, but DH is not as sure. I am a Vegas newbie and DH has only stayed at the Flamingo.

We want to be centralized on the strip. So - what do you suggest from experience with these resorts and why?

The only hotel of all the listed I have stayed at is Caesars and LOVE IT!! We have stayed in some AWESOME suites there, so that would be my recommendation, but all the hotels you listed are "top" hotels, expect for Mirage (IMO- don't think its in the same catagory as others), I'm sure you will do great at any of them, they probably all have awesome rooms - All are pretty centrally located on the strip, Caesars & Bellago are right next door to each other

I would recommend the Bellagio. It and Venetian are the most high-class out of the hotels that you mentioned, but the Bellagio is a lot more centralized on the strip. We stayed fountain-view one year, and it was an AMAZING view...especially at night.

If you are going all out, stay at Bellagio. It is a true 5 star property and you will love it.

We just went for the first time and stayed at Treasure Island. I couldn't justify the expense of the Ballagio, but kinda wish I'd looked into the Mirage. Very nice!

Ceasar's lower end rooms are pretty blah, so make sure you get an upgraded room.

Bellagio should be pretty nice overall, but to guarantee a strip view, you would have to prebook at the higher price. Both of my stays there I have had a swimming pool/mountain view. Dining costs will be higher at Bellagio venues, so you may want to consider eating elsewhere.

I like Paris - if you get a Red Room they are more recently refurbed, however, I have always been happy in a standard room also. Get a higher floor with a fountain view & you have a nice Bellagio fountain view also. Paris (with it's connection to Ballys & adjacent to PH) will have slightly more reasonable dining options.

I also like the GO rooms at Flamingo. I actually sleep better in those than nearly anywhere else.

All of your choices would be nice. I've stayed at Bellagio,Mirage and the Venetian. Mirage is by far my fav. I'd stay at Bellagio again but it would have to be in a fountain view room and a good deal. Bellagio rooms are very nice but the pool area didn't do it for me. All the restaurants seemed out of our price range. Mirage rooms are not super special but I love the pool. About Feb or early Mar there will be room codes to be had. Check Smarter Vegas and FatWallet room codes.

We have stayed at Caesars & Mirage & really like them both. (CP Forum room was best room we have stayed in in Vegas, followed closely by Wynn--tho CP bathroom was far nicer, plus MUCH better location)
But if you are looking for WOW--Bellagio is the only choice of the 4. Great location as well.
If a pool is important, Mirage is the best BUT you often have to get there before 9AM to secure a seat.

We have stayed at Bellagio, fountain room and it was lovely. Hated the very long walk to get out of the Casino. Fast Forward 10 years and we now are going for our 5th stay at The Paris. Rooms are great, and we love the easy in and out of the smaller resort. I love the ambience and the little shops too.

Bellagio is my favorite and you can't go wrong with Caesar's, Mirage or Venetian. It just depends on the theming you want to go to. The Bellagio is absolutely beautiful and I love the lobby area. The handlbown glass things in the ceiling are so cool.

You cannot go wrong with any of these four, but my personal favorite is Bellagio.
