Idk how "biz" friendly USBank is, I can confirm Chase is very "biz" friendly. The caution I have with US Bank is they are a "relationship bank" meaning they'll look back at all your banking history with them if you want to do actual business with them. If you're just in it for the bonuses then go to town but if you do "real" business with them step lightly.
Just got a text from DH:
I like this lounge lol
You're experience is horrifying and yet it's the only one I have ever heard remotely like this. I'm sticking to my recommendation Chase is very friendly to "businesses" but you definitely need a new bank. Have you hit them up on Twitter? I would make it public and go with "@ChaseSupport I had a payment stopped on a check and when I called Chase the rep called me "stupid" & their manager then told me I "don't have enough money in the account for Chase to care about my business" it was utterly humiliating". Although it may not even be worth the effort of that considering there is no way you're sticking with them! Also shopping for a new business account and I'm going to disagree with you on the Chase business account front. Personal accounts yes they're great business wise I've had awful experiences with them. They froze my account for no reason and didn't notify me in September. I had a check out to a vendor 3 months ago and they put a stop payment on it (again couldn't tell me how or why, I didn't authorize any stop payment) so the check bounced. And this month I had a transfer to a different vendor cancelled even after Chase called to verify the transfer was legitimate and once again they couldn't tell me why it was cancelled. I called the service line to ask why I was having so many issues with the account and I kid you not the rep called me stupid, and then the manager after her told me that I shouldn't even have a business account with Chase because I "don't have enough money in the account for Chase to want my business or care" so needless to say I'm looking for another bank.
So sure enough, AA won't let me book JAL flights this far out How are you supposed to get the first or business class award tickets if they're all gone by the time AA opens up their booking for it?
Someone may have posted this but, Safeway has buy $50 in select gift cards (not Visa/MC) get $7 off instantly. Would be nice if it works for gas cards or home improvement store cards, combined with 4x - 6x depending on your CC.
Has anyone tried this yet? It's July 10-23.
RenoWhich?
In-store only? (Or online too?) Works on Serve?
I've hit that Escape Lounge! It is nice and new last year, pretty view of the tarmac and mountains. Only lounge in the airport. Small but it's a small airport. Food and beverages were fine when I was there at Stupid Early O'Clock last year and they had no qualms about serving a mimosa that early, love Nevada, so I definitely had no complaintsReno
I can confirm that the $250 resort credit can be used towards the room cost. We did this over spring break and combined it with one of the AMEX spend $XXX receive $XX deals that we were each able to save on our Aspire cards.Okay Hilton Aspire gurus and free night gurus. I know I'm not using my benefits to the best, but I'm looking to booking summer vacation w/ the kids. So I'm looking at possibly using the free nights for that and the resort credits.
The $250 resort credit can be used on the cost of the room right? As long as I book a "resort" from the Hilton resorts page.
Also does anyone know can you book your free nights to be used after the expire? Like my first free night expires in October. Can I book something now to be used in April of next year for example.
So flights are booked for $22.48 out of pocket for 2 adults and 2 kids using JetBlue points and AA gift cards.DH and I are planning a quick food and wine/ MNSSHP trip in October. The plan is to buy party tickets for MK and one day tickets for Epcot to do food and wine. What do you guys think?
Well, I went ahead and transferred all our points to Hilton. I'm fine going into the red with the MRs if it comes to that. I pretty much opened all their MR earning cards last year and am now in the great closing process as all the AFs come due. I have moved on to Hilton and Bumboy.Problem is they will still leave you with a negative balance from what I'm reading.
Got the email Amex clawed back 45k MRs.
I used my own link since DH didn’t have MR cards yet and it was the 20k gold referral. Sucks.
I just hope I don’t join DH on the naughty list now!!!
I just tried to see how much I'm likely to get taken back by Amex...and my MR interface has changed. Noooo...It is not easy to read. I think it's looking like 20K in 2018 and 30K maybe for 2019. Oh, I wish my old interface was back-the new one is exacerbating my headache
This might make me more ruthless when it's time to cull my wallet, for sure. Amex, I love/hate you.
Reno
Wait- do we have @amalone1013 's DH's name?! Did I miss it? How long has this been a thing?!The Lounge Lord abides!
