I did eat a pop tart and actually get out of my bed by 10am though so it's progress! Maybe tomorrow will be better...Eh who am I kidding, it's Friday. Might as well chalk this week up as a loss and start fresh Monday!!I have an admission to make...I still haven't turned my computer on today. LOL! I'm just glancing at my emails on my phone, LOL!
For President's Day - yeah, that's probably a great price. I'm paying $469 a night for the lowest value days in January. Why not take the Boardwalk though to save $40 a night? (Not sure how many nights you were going).
I would NOT use points and stay off-site. Personally, I think you would regret it... As far as points for Disney goes, don't get hung up on cashing out URs if that's the right thing for you. I think this needs to be said to everybody here: Cashing out URs at 1cpp is GREAT!! If you can get more value than that out of them, ok...but if not...cash 'em out and stay at your dream Disney resort!
Keep going, we don't mindApparently I'm stuck with the letter for a little while - need 10 posts before I can change my avatar.
At that time of year on a short trip, I probably wouldn't let pool drive my decision. What if it ends up being highs of 65 or 70 and you nix the pool altogether? We will be there 3 nights—2 days for SWGE. I’m seriously considering the Boardwalk as I don’t expect to spend much time at the pool. Plus, Storm A Long worries me a little. Our boys are tiny and, although they can swim, they aren’t strong swimmers. I went with Yacht Club because it personally appeals to me and DH more, and I can’t stand that clown pool, but it’s not as practical for this trip. My other concern is it doesn’t appear 2 queens and a day bed are guaranteed at Yacht Club, but they are at BWI. It does make more sense to switch. Do you think our boys will be disappointed we aren’t staying at a resort with the Skyliner?
You’re right about cashing out points. If it makes sense for us to do that to enjoy Disney with our kids, I shouldn’t worry about not getting the maximum value possible.
It's a biz offer, so even if it glitches and you find it on a personal, with the way AmEx is I'm not sure I'd add it to a personal now.Is anyone seeing the Lowe's offer on a personal (non-biz) card? Sadly I don't have it on any of my AMEX cards but they are all personal ones.
I wouldn't have too much riding on Monday. You should probably plan to 'ease' into your weekI did eat a pop tart and actually get out of my bed by 10am though so it's progress! So I played this game with my wife and daughter this evening:

We got it for her for Christmas. They had been playing it a lot but forced me to play tonight. I'll be honest, I did NOT like it at first because there's a TON of reading/rules/nuance. But by the end, it was pretty neat! I'd totally recommend it as a fun game to play!! We've been doing a lot of board games over holiday break. I guess I'm just here reminiscing before bed tonight because I don't want to work tomorrow, lol!
We also have been enjoying Disney Codenames!
Have you played this? https://www.target.com/p/color-brain-disney-edition-card-game/-/A-75562930
Dh and I love it
I have this and need to play. Maybe this weekend or next! We went to play a game on christmas and I had this but thought oh lots of rules, it's kinda late already so I'll go with monopoly everyone knows how to play. Next thing I know its midnight and weve been playing monopoly for 5 hours...
We have that one, too. I know what you mean about the rules. It felt like it took forever the first few times we played. I doubt it will get played during this break (DD leaves this weekend and it's more fun to play as a family) because we are in the middle of an "Exit" game right now but DH had to go back to work so who knows when that will get finished... I'm glad you enjoy it! I think that's the one we got last year.

We also play tons of games. That is all we did NYE besides watching the MK fireworks. We have all the Disney games mentioned, though we've not played Villianous yet. We like the others though! We also have the ones you guys have. I still love so many of the old games and find many of the new ones super weird. We have this huge cabinet full of games and I do notice when my kids go grab a game, it is typically an older one as well (Uno, Life, Sorry, Stratego, Battleship, Payday) and the newer ones just kind of sit. I need to go through and get rid of a bunch we never play.We are a board game family, too. Our current favorites are Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride, with Disney Clue and Trivial Pursuit as old standbys. Monopoly (and Risk) take way too long.
I have found that some of the newer games are just too convoluted to be worth playing long-term. But I'll look into the ones mentioned here.
I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Key West is about 3.5 to 4 hour drive. Key Largo is about 90 minutes.
Here is the game I got for Christmas. National Park Trivia game We spent part of the day playing (I crushed it!)
