I like the store Last year I was doing my DD's room over and I got just about everything at Ikea.
Great prices and selections... but what worked so well for me was that the quailty was good for the price. Because my DD is a teen, we can be sure she will 1. want to change the look of the room yet again and 2. she would for sure beat on this furniture and I wouldn't have to cry at the loss of an expensive piece. Although, I sooo love the make up table , I do wish it to last so I can have it one day
Here are some pics of the room. the colors and dots were her idea. I painted it ALL white, made these dots out of craft foam paper then I used that tack and stick reusable adhesive. Now when she gets sick of the dots, we take them down and have plain white walls again leaving it easy to do something else.
The room was a dark brown woodwork stain , the double closet doors where a killer, painting white over that color was even with primer. We are replacing the windows, so I didn't paint the inside of them, see how darl it was! The room is so bright now
The day bed and guitar were not form Ikea, everything else was! Look at the cute mirror that comes out of the wall and folds back when your done, that way 10 bucks! the two big peices, the make up table and jewelry stand were 139.00 each later on, we did end up getting the matching dresser for her too. LOVE the way the draws in this furniture work, they glide easy and dont warp like some cheaper stuff do.
It is real bright white and hot pink, the pics do not pick up the color as much.
So see Pete, you should give Ikea another try!
