What a BUSY day! Arrival day is always like that it seems - but full of fun and surprises.
We rolled into the Fort about 615am and were the first guests of the morning to arrive. The one CM working had to log into her terminal before she could take care of us. Requested 1511 (my favorite Tent site) and it would become available that morning after the current guest checked out. There were no empty sites in 1500 and only one "ready" site in 2000 which I passed on. So we went to P&J's for some breakfast.
I was so hungry I had eaten my croissant and tots before I remembered to take a picture.
Then we sat on the TE porch and made a "Kickin' It" picture:
A boat was loading down at the dock at 730am which was good intel.
There was a sign in the grass in front of the porch regarding the food trucks:

After soaking up some rising sun on the TE porch:
I moseyed over to find
@ilovedisneymm since they were leaving this morning. Had a nice talk with them. As with some of our posters that I've met, I've seen their kids grow up - and Up - and UP. Same thing this morning. But I got out of their hair and went by
@Teamubr's spot but he was already at the parks and then by 1511 to see if my folks had started packing yet (it was 10am by now). Nope.
So we took off to Disney Springs to spend our time seriously shopping. Even I found something I could not resist - a retro/50th metal lunch box and thermos.
I may be retired but I can still have use of a good lunch box sometimes. But the back side of it is why I got it.
DS was not too crowded then but around noon we got the text our site was ready. Back we went and rolled into 1500 loop. 1511 is not a big site in terms of paved length or gravel site so I had to try to tuck well into the back corner to give us the most "living" space. I angled around the water post:
the utility post:
and the back timber.
I'll tell you why I wanted this site next.
