don't buy a new dress...i like the old one anyway! why don't you get a bolero or fur wrap? fl weather is so unpredictable...it could be 80 degrees out and you'd regret your decision!
I agree with Caryn. Your original dress is gorgeous! A friend of mine used furreplicas.com to get wraps for her (in white) and her bridesmaids (in brown). They were pretty cheap, around $40 each.
I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Although, we wont be outside for long, just formal pics... I may just deal with the cold
Thank you for talking some sense into my ladies! I don't think I am so concerned with being cold as not wanting a strapless dress. But after looking at my dress and thinking about it, I do really like my dress!
Saturday afternoon Dan and I (along with my brother, niece & nephew) conducted our own "cake tasting" at the Grand Floridian Cafe. I worked with a lady at Private Dining and was able to order 3 6" cakes. I am soooooooooo glad we did this, because on the flavors we thought we'd love-- yeah we hated it. The cakes were on $12.50 each. If any Intimate bride is curious and able to visit the GF before their wedding, I definitely recommend doing this!
Here are the photos from the cake tasting. I was so focused on trying the cakes that I didn't get any shots of the cakes before we cut them.

Strawberry mousse w/ fresh strawberries/ Marble Cake (this will be for Dan's groom's cake):
I forgot to mention that I thought the buttercream icing was really good. I don't like greasy buttercream because it reminds me of shortening. This buttercream was a nice consistency and not overly sweet.
We also took a bazillion photos around the castle trying to get a nice one to use on our water bottle labels. Here are some of the pics along with the final water bottle label:
I'm not sure if I ever posted our "monogram." I will be using this on our favors/ welcome boxes, etc.
Today I went to the hairdresser to have a hair trial. My normal hairdress was off today so I had another lady do it. I figure I don't know Ana, so I should get used to working with someone else.
Here are the photos I showed the lady:
Here is the final product (I will be having my hair color adjusted prior to the wedding!):
I have insanely thick and curly/wavy hair. I have explained this to Ana, but I'm not sure she understands. It took 2 hours, give or take a few minutes, to finish my hair. Granted this lady doesn't do wedding hair everyday, but I have a mass of hair. It's going to take a long time to do my hair no matter who it is.
I like the hair trial, but I really want the front part to stand up a little more like the first photo I posted.
After the hair, I went to the seamstress to have my dress altered and bustled. Once I got the gown on, the seamstress asked what exactly I wanted to have done because the dress fit me perfectly. I told her I needed to have it bustled. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted because I didn't like what David's had suggested.

Here is what the seamstress came up with:
She is doing a French bustle which I'm happy about. I just hope my mom can figure it out! My dress will be ready tomorrow, but I'm going to leave it at the dress shop because I'm tired of it taking up room in the guest bedroom.
I also took our cake server in to Things Remembered to have it engraved. That will be ready tomorrow as well.
We received our M&Ms on Friday. I think next weekend Dan and I will have to sit down and fill the wedding favors. I also have to get started burning CDs soon or we'll never finish.
Luckily I'm not going to my parents for Turkey Day this year so I will have 5 days open to do wedding stuff Thanksgiving week.
