About Jessica:
My name is Jessica and I'm 27 years old. I live in Northern NJ with my wonderful fiancé and our furbaby Cocoa. I love everything and anything Disney.
I'm a self-proclaimed Ariel-a-holic as you can tell from my user icon.
I work as an Information Systems Specialist for a High School. Aside from Disney - I like video games, reading, computers, playing with my doggie and shopping!
About Michael:
Michael is 28 years old and is not a Disney fanatic like I am - but he does appreciate the magic of Disney.
He absolutely loved our first Disney trip together in December 2007 and it really inspired him to make the same magic for our wedding-to-be.
He's a Project Manager in his Information Technology department.
He's my brilliant computer genius, my SQL king and my geek. 
He loves video games, skiing, reading and Star Wars. 
I feel very lucky in life to have found my best friend and soul mate. 
Our Engagement Story 12/21/05:
"Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
It was just an ordinary Wednesday. I had a pretty good day at work and I was planning on getting my haircut after work. I went to a new hairstylist, recommended by FSIL Pammy, and felt pretty good about having a few inches taken off. My hair has been getting so tangled that it just felt so refreshing to have it trimmed.
I came home from work and called from the bottom of the stairs as I walked up, "I'm home!" ..no response. I was positive Michael was home. "Michael?" Surely he was home, wasn't he? "Honey, are you there?" I came to the top of the stairs and the only light on was in our dining room. On the kitchen table, arranged in a vase were a dozen red roses. I smiled and looked over, Michael was all dressed up in the outfit I like best; his blue button down and white dockers. He said, "I know you like going out when you get your hair done, and we haven't been on a romantic dinner in a while."
Skeptically, I folded my arms and playfully eyed him. "What did you do wrong?" He chuckled lightheartedly and assured me that nothing was wrong. He was right; we hadn't been out to a romantic dinner in a while. I was very delighted indeed.
I freshened up and we went out to Don Pepe's on Route 46. We expected to have a quiet dinner but the place was overrun by company parties. It was just as loud and noisy as Jose Tejas so we were pretty disappointed. Nonetheless, the food was excellent and I had a great time!
We walked out to his car. It was pretty nippy so I was rushing to get to the car. Michael opened the car door for me and yet again I teased him asking what he did wrong. He opens the car door for me every once in a while and I always appreciate the gesture when he does. I turned around to close the door(since he usually neglects to do so) and he was down on one knee with a ringbox open. My eyes widened, my heart pounded in my chest as he said the words...
"Will you marry me?"
About a million thoughts ran through my head at once. However, first thing that left my lips...
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"
I actually forgot to say yes. We embraced and kissed for a while and then he got into the car with me. I did redeem myself after the third "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" by saying, "And if I forgot to say so, YES!" WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!
..ever since then, life has been an absolute dream. He was such a gentleman because he called my Mom to ask for my hand in marriage. Everything is just so beautiful, everything just feels so right. Everyone is here and excited with me and I can't wait for events to unfold!!
So, why a Disney Wedding? And what took so long?!
After we were engaged in December 2005, I wanted a Disney wedding but I knew we couldn't afford the price tag that came along with a Wishes wedding. Defeated, I decided that we should save up and have a really huge wedding in Northern NJ.
By 2007, we saved up SOME money but not nearly enough without taking out loans. We already own a home and it just didn't seem economical to have a wedding that would cost over $25,000
and be paying off loans for the next 5 years. We didn't want to elope either. We wanted to do something tasteful, classy - and include our closest family and friends.
I had an epiphany!
Why hadn't I thought of this sooner?! "Disney has Escape/Intimate weddings!" DF was totally on board! Hooray!!! 
Wedding Party:
Matron of Honor: Pamela
Pammy is my future sister-in-law and I knew we'd be really good friends from the start! She's fun, creative and really knows how to throw a party! Our relationship is great because no matter how mad we get at each other we're blabbing away like nothing happened later! I love her very much and I'm so glad she'll be here with me on this special day.
