Just curious, What is your occupation?

I am a carpenter/building contractor. I say carpenter 1st because that is what I really love to do. I am fortunate to have a job that I love to go to. Everyday isnt roses, but I work with my 78 yr old dad, my son helps us at times, I work with my brother(though that can be challenging at times:)). I am 45 now and I knew in 1st grade what I wanted to do with my life. My dad owned his business from back in '56 so I grew up around it. When the 1st grade teacher asked us to tell what we wanted to be when we grew up, some boys said Superman or Batman, some said police or fireman. But I truly knew carpenter was it.

As of last June I'm a "Domestic Goddess". Yep; un-employed. Prior to that I was an Administrative Assistant in a NYC based Real Estate Management firm.

All is good however; DH is employed and DS has one year of college left. I'm a "more mature" person :) so I'm also failry close to retirement age. If we can get through this year then we'll be fine! :thumbsup2

I am a Software Engineer at a miltary contractor, although currently I'm doing Systems Engineering work. I'm in a rotational leadership program for my first 3 years so I"ll do some softare, systems, business development etc across many of the different projects and business areas here before deciding where I want to work (which will be software just don't know what area/project yet.)

My husband works in the electronics dept of Target and is just waiting for me to finish grad school and this program so that we can start a family and he can be a stay at home Dad.

I am a retired business owner and now "stay-at-home" mother of a 3 year old disney fanatic. Stay at home in quotes because I don't think I ever stay at home, always taking the 3 year old places. Husband is a Standardization Instructor pilot with the National Guard after serving 12 years on Active Duty.

I work at an advertising agency in Detroit (yep, I brave the border crossing on a daily basis to get back and forth to work).

DW is a sales rep for a national food company.

I am an author working on my second book, and also run a ship chandlery for the Gulf Of Mexico. Also run a hurricane relief charity that hubby and I started.

Hubby is in the medical field. Home health.

We have five kids, aged 11-22, three at home.

i would love to be able to utter the words "I'm bored"...lol

But seriously, I am very blessed!

Estate, trust attorney and hubby is a partner doing commercial litigation.

But, I have to say -- the harlequin novelist seems to have the coolest job!! I am keeping her in business :worship: along with the guy who is harbor controller -- that sounds pretty cool too!

Own my own company. We do outsourced IT Management for small to medium sized businesses (usually 150 or less employees with a couple of exceptions).

I :worship: you! It's so nice to hear that someone enjoys what we do. I'm so lucky to be able to do what I love. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up but better late than never. :)
