"Manly" things to do in Orlando?

We have decided to nuke DHS and US/HHN from our trip because the cost just doesn't justify the value for us so we have some free time on our hands for our October trip.

My bf and the friend going with us (also a guy) are what I call "very manly men" (hope that came off the right way). One is a range instructor and the other also works in the firearm industry. Both love the whole zombie craze too.

Are there any kind of attractions/stores in the Orlando area that might go along with firearms or zombies? I did look at that Machine Gun America or whatever its called and honestly, its just lame. These guys handle those guns quite often so that wouldn't be of interest to them.

They are both looking forward to visiting some of Orlandos Army Surplus Stores or Tactical Stores for gear and/or body armor. Does anyone have any experience with any of the stores in the area?

We looked into gator wrestling at Gator Land but the gators apparently have done it so much they kind of just sit there while you sit on top of them. It honestly looked boring.

Not really into zip lines, bungee jumping, or Sky Coaster. Just looking for something (maybe hands on) that would be along the lines of zombies or something tactical.

Appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks.

Hard Knocks sounds like it would be fun for them. I haven't been, but I believe its a more intense form of laser tag.

I wouldn't nix HHN off your list if they're into zombies.. They've been doing a Walking Dead house every year for the past few years and I think it'll be making a return this year too. HHN is one of my favorite events; I've been going nearly ever year for the past 10 years.

There's a zombie survival army supply store off of I-Drive on Sand Lake Rd.

There's a lot of outdoor activities here.. Canoeing, boating, skiing. You might check out one of the area's many natural springs, like Rock Springs at Kelly Park where you can tube down a natural lazy river. Not sure if that's manly enough but I think it's something everyone could enjoy.

There is a new place called Machine Gun World on 192 you might want to check out. My husband went in to check it out and said it was pretty awesome looking.

There is also the Museum of Military History on 192.

My husband and son also LOVE to go to the Bass Pro Shop on I-Drive and check out their "manly" things.

Hope this helps! Have a great trip!

Do you think they would like indoor sky diving in a wind tunnel? There is a place on I-drive near Wet and Wild that attracts both sky diving teams and tourists. My husband who doesn't care for theme parks too much really enjoyed our doing this the last time he came to Orlando with us.

Not right in Orlando, but maybe they would like something like this.....http://www.triplemoutfittersunlimited.com/ They have been featured on TV sp prices may be higher tan when they started the company. http://www.backwoodstv.com/index.php/videos/play/619

If that is too costly how bought doing an airboat trip. Deep sea fishing? gambling ship?

After checking the adventure rates.....going to Halloween Horror at Iniversal seems affordable. Might check out the one at Busch Gardens, too.
