Is it usual to send thank you notes after an interview?
It is just a nice thing to tell them that you appreciate them taking the time to talk to you. Most people do send them.

DGSs are at that age too and they're only 15 and 16. Speaking of Grands....when is your next little one due? Is it this week? Do we know if it's a boy or girl? I can imagine how excited you must be.

ugh, I am one of those need to know people. I hate waiting...! I am not sure when they will let me know something,
Due this weekend I think. A little girl. I have been eyeing up pink things!!
I'm so jealous....I want a little granddaughter, but only have boys....have they picked out a name for her yet? Do they live nearby you?
I have not heard of anyone over here doing that.

If you really want the job, you do it!
Not sure it would be looked on favourably to be honest. Just one of those strange cultural things I suppose.
Now that's different!
As far as baby names go they are calling her Molly at the moment, but I am hoping that is just a bump name!!!
I have read on the thread where others are already booking airline reservations....have you all done this yet? I though it was kinda early in the game for that, but maybe not. Whatcha think?
Oregon Ducks 52
Fresno State Bulldogs 21
Glad Ohio State crushed Washington. We don't care for those stinkin' Huskies! They are biggest rival and nothing better than to see them lose.
I am going to explode waiting to hear something.
did anyone watch the DCL special on the Travel channel on the 14th? We had it in our DVR and my kids and I are watching it...they are so pumped.
Do any of you listen to the NPR show Whad'ya Know?
This week they broadcast from our town, from the renovated Palace Theater. I missed the show, but just subscribed to the podcast so that I can get the show when they release it.
The game tonight that I thought would be good - NE and SD, has turned out to be a real stinker. 31-7.
And what's with these "Viva Viagra" commercials? Who is the genius who thought that tag line up? I bet if you put all those floating candles in the pool like the guy on the commercial, there would be no need to have a prescription.
Good morning all!
I decided this morning to take the day off work. I called our office manager and asked her if since both my bosses are not coming in today, if she'd mind me just staying home. I couldn't handle the boredom of sitting there for 6 hours with nothing to do. She told me as long as nobody calls in or gets sick, I can have the day off. Everybody was due to start work 40 minutes ago and I didn't get a phone call yet, so I'm assuming everybody else showed up and I'm free for the day! YIPPEE!!!!
Yeahhhhhhh for Holly playing hookie today!!!!!! It feels good doesn't it!!!!!!! Enjoy your day!
I'm expecting the visiting nurse to be here in less than an hour....she's gonna rewrap the legs again. I'm getting tired of it. John just did it yesterday because the wraps were falling down. Now they're good and she's going to redo them anyway. I'm of the mindset that I just want to leave them alone and let them heal. That's not going to happen. Wed back to the doctor again, but the good one this time. I'm getting so tired of it all. I just want them well already.
Minus six weeks and counting down until we're on Mickey's ship and doing the MNSSHP after. I'm so excited and ready to go. We usually do Mickey's ship every Sept so I would be gone right now, but this year we're taking all the family, so we're doing Halloween instead. It just means I have to wait a little longer. But I'm getting really really excited now coz it's coming up soon!
so I spent an hour with HR....she had some KILLER questions, but I managed - I am sure she could hear my knees knocking under the table.
Then I went to the department....I walked in the head honcho's office and lo and behold....a kindred spirit!
