MickeyAnne's Wedding Report & Honeymoon TR (Updated 9/25 - End of DLR portion)

Well, it wasn't a Disney wedding (oh how I dream of a vow renewal in WDW someday) but it will be a Disney Honeymoon in a few weeks. My PJ is around here somewhere but I didn't keep up on it very well. I have been really looking forward to doing a wedding report though so I will be on top of this...

Let me introduce myself (and my hubby) for those who don't know me. My name is Tonianne and I am from NJ. DH and I met 8 years ago at work and we have been through ALOT together through the years (see my PJ)! We got engaged on Christmas Eve 2006 and we were married on June 1, 2008. His name is Mike and I am so enjoying the beginning of our married life together.

So lets start at the beginning of the wedding weekend! On the Friday before my wedding, I took my bridal party to a local tea house for a little luncheon. It was nice, yummy and calm - a great way to start off the weekend.

Here are my flower girls. The brunette is 5 and was such a big girl at tea!! The blonde is my Goddaughter, she is 2.5 and kept reminding us that tea is like Mary Poppins (her favorite movie).

This is my bridal party along with my mom, MIL and Aunt. We were missing my MOH who couldn't get off from work .

Then it was off to mani/pedi's!!! This was nice! I haven't had a pedicure in way too long! Here are my little ones showing off their nails.

That night was a calm one. We just hung out with my family and enjoyed ourselves. As always, I took a self shot of us! Here it is so you can at least see who we are!

Thanks everyone! I happen to agree that my FG's are quite adorable! Wait till you meet the ring bearers!!!

So now we are on Saturday - the day before the BIG day! Mike and I started off our morning by taking flowers to the cemetaries for my sister and his father. We asked the florist to have an extra bouquet and boutinear for them and we made a point of spending some time dropping them off that day. It was hard and sad to really stare down the fact that they wouldn't be beside us on our big day but we know that they were absolutely there in spirit.

After we dropped off the flowers we split up so that Mike's younger brother could take him out to lunch (at Subway) as a wedding gift! He is only 15 and I thought that was so cute. We got ready for the rehearsal dinner and met up there....WARNING - I take ALOT of pictures!

We had it at a local restaurant. It was buffet style and very relaxed. We had a great time! They had these on the table for us! I didn't even have to make them!

This is Mike's grooms cake - he is a huge Mets fan so I surprised him with this. I had found a cake designer who does AMAZING stuff but wanted $300.00 for a cake to feed 30! No way was I going to spend that - DH would have killed me!

I have no idea why I didn't take a picture of the females in the bridal party this night?!?!? Maybe I can conjure some up!

I have to go get dinner started - thats such a funny concept for me. Nest up, the kids at the rehearsal dinner and the ONE thing Mike said he would never do!!!!!!!!!

Okay so you met some of the adults - here are my kiddies. These four are the loves of my life! They are all children of my cousins (2 of their mom's were in my bridal party). They were pretty rambunxiosd (sp?) this night so I was really worried about the wedding. But here they are...

Survival pack for wedding day (gum, tylenol, lip gloss etc)

Pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings

Princess stuffed doll

Ring Bearers got;
Coloring book
Prince stuffed dolls
Football Jerseys of their favorite teams

Hey Lynn! I am soo loving your TR. I check everyday for your updates - I really should post more!

Well to continue the story of our rehearsal night. DH and I have been going back and forth for months about the Mickey and Minnie Wedding ears. I have always known that I have no chance of him wearing them in the parks when we head out to DL in 18 days ( ) but I really wanted him to just wear them for a picture on the rehearsal night. He has always said no, because my brothers and his would ridicule him to no end. So we went back and forth and he kept telling me that he would "never put them on his head". Well, after the kids tried on the Minnie ears, I of coarse put them on and started prancing around in them;

Then, I heard laughter and turned around to find Mike wearing the top hat!!!! MOH had slipped them on his head when his back was turned (I knew I loved her). He was lughing and being a good sport - thank goodness because I would have felt terrible if he were mad about it.

So, I got my picture of us in the bride and groom ears together and I am so happy about it! I won't even bring his to DL with me - I don't want him to feel like he HAS to wear them. I will wear the Minnie ears and thats enough. I am just happy that we have this memory cause I thought it wouldn't happen!

After the dinner it was off to church to rehearse for the big day!!!!!!! I was so excited! (We did dinner first for the little ones - the rehearsal wasn't over until 8:30 and I didn't want them to be exhausted on the wedding day.)

So here we are at the big day!!! I woke up at 6:00 AM so excited. The first thing I did was read a letter that Mike had written me while we were at pre-cayna (mandatory "training" for those getting married at my church), a few months earlier. Mike NEVER writes anything out - he is more of a vocal person. In cards its just "love, Mike" so to read an actual letter from him was soooo special. His words to me were so kind and full of love - it just solidfied my excitement. I was not nervous or worried, just happy - I felt so lucky that I was going to get to marry this man! The sun was shining and it was going to be a breezy 74 degrees - perfect!!!!!

I took a shower, blew my hair dry and waited for my MOH to come over. When she got to my house, she had a gift from Mike for me. Its a beautiful diamond heart necklace which I somehow neglected to take pictures of - I will though. I slipped it on and then my mom, MOH and I were off to the make-up artist's studio for hair and make-up. I was first in the hair chair so I enjoyed my iced coffee and AMAZING scone that my mom made while my hair dresser worked for over an hour on my head. Here is my progression;

Time to try out the tiara!!!!!! She took it out after this so that we could finish my hair right before I had to go!

Then it was on to make-up for me! More progression pics;

Here are some pics of my mom and some of the bridal party as they were getting all done up. They all turned out amazing! I didn't specify how I wanted hair done - its their head! I just asked that they all get an updo. I thought it would look cool if my hair was down and all of them had it up.

Then it was time to officially put in my tiara and veil!!!!! This was so exciting! I really felt like a bride when they were in!

It was such a nice, relaxed and easy morning. Everything went like clockwork and I just floated through. After MOH and I were done, we headed back to my house to see the flowers as they arrived and get ready for the photogs to come. To be cont....

Thanks!! The rehearsal was alot of fun - my younger brother kpt everyone entertained and the priest was hilarious - I have to post a pic of him!

Thanks! Its was so nice to have make-up done well on. I am so plain and simple most days - I felt like a bit of a clown but, a pretty clown.

I love my little ones!!! They are the world to me - I am so glad that I didn't listen to EVERYONE who told me not to have them in the wedding because they would ruin the day. They were great! Feel free to use my pics to show your stylist - let me know how it comes out!
