More Animal Kingdom!
So Divine is actually in this picture...above the center guys head. You can see one of her limbs pointing to the right- it's fuzzy since she was moving. Her costume is quite impressive!
On the way to Dinosaur, I saw this food place and I literally laughed out loud. I'm a biology nerd, what can I say!
I do have a ride photo from our time on Dinosaur, but I didn't grab it this time. Most of my photos from AK are of plants and animals.
Next are when things started to go a bit downhill… We went on Kali River with a fastpass for 10:15. It was AWESOME and very fun. However, we got very, very, very wet. Like jeans are sopping and uncomfortable wet. Now, I am usually okay with getting wet- what is a little water? I've never worn a poncho on any rapid ride. I don't mind getting wet on splash. I forgo umbrellas altogether for this reason. However, we were drenched....jeans were completely soaked through.
Also, it hadn’t warmed up yet….and was cloudy….so we ended up walking a lot of the trails while waiting to dry. This caused us to miss our Everest fastpass and threw off the scheduling for the rest of the day. Now, I think if Kali didn't get me Everest would have. I have since watched a ride video for Everest and did some research, I don't think my motion sickness can handle that ride. It probably also would've made the rest of the day uncomfortable.
We stopped to get a Mickey pretzel and then did some more walking. I changed our Everest fastpass for the safaris.
Things got better as lunch approached and we started feeling warmer and dryer. We ate at the Yak & Yeti counter service area, and then went on the safari...and here is when the day improved!
We saw so much on the safari, I'm sad I only got to do it once!
Lesson learned: Get Ponchos. I may pass on Kali next time, or only do it if it's warm and sunny. But still between Epcot rain and the rapids, I'm starting to understand the poncho thing...
Next up: More safari photos!
