Finally, this afternoon, it was the end of an era.
The long con concluded this afternoon during a break in El Mysterio's day back at the Fort after a morning at the MK. Years ago I managed to scrawl my name in some wet concrete here at the Fort. Over those years I have revisited the spot and kept its location secret - sharing it only with a few. Now perhaps the most fervent searcher, El Mysterio, has been shown the secret spot and sworn to secrecy with the others. His two young protoge's, who helped him in his search, were present also (passing on the secret to the next generation).
As pixel proof, the two young assistants lent their feet as proof of the find.
El Mysterio himself was pleased to finally be let in on the secret and gave it his personal "okay".
In return, El Mysterio returned to the Magic Kingdom this evening and asked me to share pixel proof the golden idol he found left by the indigenous people who are rumored to still live in these woods.
Tomorrow morning we pack up and head home after breakfast at Trails End. It was a short trip (Mon-Fri) but we spent lots of time with DD who is now halfway through her time in the Disney College Program.
It's been different but it's still been fun.
