Park Merchandise at the Catalog Outlet Stores

Sorry that this only pertains to those who visit the Disney Catalog Outlet stores.

The stores are now receiving different types of merchandise along with the catalog stuff. They now receive stuff from both Disneyland and WDW. They have lots of stuff from Disneyland right now (shirts, hats, keychains, adult fanny packs, children's fanny packs, mini snowglobes, mugs). They have alot of Disneyland 45th anniversary stuff. I heard they will also receive the overstock from WDW too, but presently do not have any WDW things yet.

Also heard that one of the stores has closed--not sure exactly, but it is either the Mrytle Beach or Hilton Head Store.

They also dropped the word "The" from their name (just like "The" Disney Store has dropped the word "The) go figure--not sure what that's all about.

I was there yesterday. I was suprised to find DisneyLand merchandise there. Unfortunately there wasn't much that appealed (or fit) me. Ended up with a Tinkerbell shirt for my daughter ($2.50) a DisneyLand 45th anniversary key ring ($6.00), a Chevron Autopia Car ($5) and an acrylic Mickey Mouse shelf ($3).

Anyway, the Myrtle Beach one is still there. Would like to know if the Hilton Head one is. Especially since they have a DVC resort there and are building the new "center" at the interstate.

Thanks for letting me know the Mrytle Beach one is still open, so I guess it's the Hilton Head one that is closed now. The Disneyland stuff didn't appeal to me, but I can't wait to see when the WDW merchandise arrives. Most likely will be alot of the 2000 stuff. It was nice to see the Disney fanny packs (both kids and adults) there. I know folks are always looking for them.

I know of 2 Disney outlets, Rehobath Delaware and Potomac Mills outlet mall outside of Washington DC on the Virginia side.
I really hoped they would put one in the new outlets in Wilmington Delaware they are suppose to be all catologue store. They are still building so I have my fingures crossed!

Heard on the news today that the big welcome center at Hardeeville, SC on I-95 is off. Seems the contract with the developer expired and there are no plans to renew it. That could also help explain why they might close the Hilton Head outlet store.

I was just in the Potomac Mills outlet store the other day and they had loads of Disneyland merchandise (t-shirts, hats, etc.) wasn't able to find any WDW stuff though I was hoping to since we will be leaving in 10 days - I'll check back before my trip and maybe I'll get lucky!

I did a search on my computer for Disney Outlet and came up with a list of all of the outlets stores in the US. I happen to live in Md so I have a few near me! Hope you do Too!!!

Those would happen to be: Potomac Mills, VA and Rehobeth Beach, DE.

The stores are in:

Tennessee (Piegon Forge)
Banson, MS
San Marcos TX
Myrtle Beach, SC
Jonesville, SC (the main warehouse)
One in Alabama, can't remember where (there were 2, but one closed)

I think that is it for the Disney "Catalog" Outlets. There are outlets in Flordia, but they are not part of this chain.
