I used a scooter from Care in August, and they were very reasonably priced and had great delivery and pick up service to the resort. It was only $150 for the week.

Are you actually looking for an ECV (power scooter) or a power wheelchair?

ECVs and power wheelchairs are very different things, even though people sometimes use the names interchangeably. ECVs are usually driven with a yoke that is similar to a bicycle handlebars. ECVs need very little to no individual set up and only short instruction/practice to drive.
Power wheelchairs are driven with a joystick or some other sort of specialized control (like a mouthstick, sip and puff or head array) for people who don't have enough control of their hands to drive with a joystick. Power wheelchairs are much more expensive than ecvs. The computer that controls the power wheelchair has to be individually programmed for the person using it (the computer program is what interprets the movements of the joystick into telling the wheelchair what direction, speed, etc to move. It is more difficult (and takes more practice) to drive with a joystick (which controls both direction and speed at the same time) than driving an ecv.

You can rent an ECV from any of the sites that were listed by Czarina. You don't need any medical documentation (like an MD letter) to rent one.
The companies don't usually rent power wheelchairs unless you are already experienced with driving them (for example, have one at home, but don't want to travel with it). They need to know some things like seat length and width and the current computer settings that the person is using in order to set up the power wheelchair for use.
