RAIN IS NOT GOING TO RUIN OUR MAGICAL DISNEYMOON(6/3-6/10) - WL pics update

DAY 6 ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY JELLYROLLS NIGHT 6/8/2013

WE WOKE UP AT 7:25 AM AND GOT READY TO GO TO ANIMAL KINGDOM. WE ARRIVED AT AK AT 8:55 AM (GOT IN 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY LET EVERYONE IN SINCE IT WAS AN EARLY MORNING EXTRA HOUR DAY). WE WENT STRAIGHT TO KILAMANJARO SAFARI. MY WIFE LIKED IT AND I LIKED IT A LOT .

DAY 6 ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY (CONTINUED) JELLYROLLS NIGHT 6/8/2013

WE THEN HEADED OVER TO EXPEDITION EVEREST AND RODE SINGLE RIDER LINE. I LUCKED OUT AND GOT TO RIDE IN THE BACK ROW. AFTER THE RIDE, WE THEN GOT FASTPASSES FOR EVEREST SO WE COULD RIDE TOGETHER. WE THEN HEADED TO DINOSAUR . AFTER DINOSAUR, WE WENT TO PRIMEVAL WHIRL. WE GOT TO RIDE ALL THE RIDES WE WANTED BY 11:10 AM. I BOUGHT AN ANIMAL KINGDOM T SHRIT (FINALLY I BOUGHT A SOUVENIR FOR MYSELF). WE THEN WENT TO RAINFOREST CAFÉ FOR LUNCH . MY WIFE HAD THE BARBECUE BACON BURGER AND A RAINBOW COLADA . I HAD THE PASTA WITH ITALIAN SAUSAGE ( I THINK IT WAS CALLED THE EARTH PASTA) AND A COKE , . WE BOTH REALLY LIKED THE FOOD. WE GAVE IT 4.5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT GETS SUCH A BAD REPUTATION (BUT TO EACH ITS OWN). WE THEN WENT BACK TO RIDE EXPEDITION EVEREST AGAIN WITH OUR FASTPASSES. I ASKED FOR US TO BE SEATED IN THE FRONT ROW. WE BOTH LOVED RIDING IN THE FRONT ROW. I WOULD DEFINITELY SUGGEST RIDING IN THE FRON ROW. WE THEN WENT TO FINDING NEMO THE MUSICAL. AFTER THAT, WE WENT TO ITS TOUGH TO BE A BUG IN 3D. THAT SHOW WAS REALLY COOL. THEN, WE WENT TO THE DAWA BAR TO GET DRINKS . MY WIFE HAD A DAWA COLADA, AND I HAD A RED SUPERFRUIT SANGRIA . WE BOTH ENJOYED OUR DRINKS. THE SKY LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GETTING DARKER AND WERE READY TO LEAVE ANYWAY. SO, AT 2:40 PM WE BOARDED THE BUS BACK TO WL. SHORTLY AFTER WE ARRIVED AT WILDERNESS LODGE, THE SKYS OPENED UP. IT STARTED TO RAIN AND THEN THUNDERSTORM. WE WERE LUCKY TO HAVE ARRIVED BACK VERY SHORTLY BEFORE IT STARTED TO DOWNPOUR. WE WENT TO THE BUS DEPOT AND TOOK THE BUS TO MAGIC KINGDOM. WE BOARDED A BUS FOR BEACH CLUB, AND ARRIVED AT CAPE MAY CAFÉ EXACTLY AT 5:50 PM . OUR RESERVATION WAS FOR 5:50 PM. WE HAD A BOUT A 10 MINUTE WAIT TO GET SEATED . MY WIFE HAD CLAMS, SEAFOOD PAELLA, PASTA, MAC AND CHEESE, AND CRAB LEGS . SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE CLAMS AND CRAB LEGS. I HAD TWO PLATES OF FOOD. ON MY FIRST PLATE WAS CEASAR SALAD (I WAS NOT A HUGE FAN OF THE CEASAR SALAD), SHRIMP WHICH WERE DELICIOUS, PEPPERJACK CHEESE CUBES, BREAD, AND RES PEPPER HUMMUS . ON MY SECOND PLATE I HAD SALMON, SEAFOOD PAELLA, CRAB LEGS, PASTA, AND A CHICKEN LEG . MY FAVORITE FOOD OF THE MEAL WAS THE SHRIMP, SALMON, AND CHICKEN LEG. WE BOTH ENJOYED THE CAPE MAY CAFÉ CLAM BAKE AND GAVE IT 3.75 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. AFTER DINNER, WE TOOK THE BOAT TO THE BOARDWALK THEN WALKED IN THE RAIN TO JELLYROLLS . WE ARRIVED AT JELLYROLLS AT 7:30 PM . WE GOT A GREAT TABLE AND ONLY HAD TO WAIT A HALF HOUR UNTIL THEY STARTED PLAYING. JELLYROLLS WAS A LOT OF FUN. I HAD CORONA, A BUNCH OF LANDSHARKS, AND A RUM AND COKE.TWO OF THE PIANO PLAYERS CALLED US UP ON STAGE SINCE IT WAS OUR HONEYMOON AND HAD US DO HEADS, SHOULDERS, KNEES, AND TOES. WE LEFT JELLYROLLS AT 12:05 PM. A MAGIC KINGDOM BUS SHOWED UP RETURNING PEOPLE TO THE BOARDWALK SINCE MAGIC KINGDOM CLOSED AT 11:00 PM. SINCE THE BUS COMPLETELY EMPTIED I FIGURED IT WAS WORTH A SHOT ASKING THE BUS DRIVER IF SHE COULD TAKE US BACK TO WILDERNESS LODGE. SHE SAID SHE WOULD HAVE TO ASK, AND SHE GAVE US THE THUMBS UP TO COME ABOARD. WE WANTED TO GIVE AN EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOU TO LINDA THE BUS DRIVER FOR DOING THAT FOR US.

I love the Pianomen at Jellyrolls - they are just awesome and love when they do something special for customers! and that is sweet that Linda the bus driver brought you right back to the WL.. great report can't wait for more..

DAY 7 BREAKFAST AT KONA CAFE & AFTERNOON AT WILDERNESS LODGE 6/9/2013

WE STARTED THE DAY BY WAKING UP THE LATEST WE DID ON THIS TRIP AT 9:00 AM. WE GOT READY AND HEADED OUT AT 9:30 FOR OUR 10:35 AM RESERVATION AT KONA CAFÉ. WHEN WE GOT DOWNSTAIRS A MAGIC KINGDOM BUS ARRIVED WITHIN 3 MINUTES. WE WERE AT MAGIC KINGDOM IN 10 MINUTES. WE THEN WALKED UP TO THE MONORAIL AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS THERE AND WE BOARDED. WE ARRIVED AT THE POLYNESIAN AT 9:55 AM . WE LOOKED AT THE MENU AT KONA CAFÉ . AFTER WE DECIDED WHAT WE WOULD ORDER I WENT UP AND CHECKED IN AT 10:05 AM. WE WERE SEATED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. MY WIFE ORDERED A RASPBERRY SMOOTHIE AND THE TONGA TOAST AND I ORDERED THE SAMOAN AND A DIET COKE. IT WAS VERY GOOD. .
WE GAVE IT A 4.25 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS.
WE THEN HEADED BACK TO WILDERNESS LODGE ON A BOAT WHICH WE HAD TO OURSELVES .

I GOT TWO WHITE SANGRIAS AND MY WIFE GOT A PINA COLADA FROM THE TROUT PASS POOL BAR WHILE WE SAT AT THE QUIET POOL HIDDEN SPRINGS POOL ON THE VILLAS SIDE. WE THEN WENT UPSTAIRS TO GET READY FOR MY GRAND SURPRISES FOR MY WIFE.

DAY 7 SURPRISE + GRAND EVENING DINNER AT VICTORIA & ALBERT'S CHEF'S TABLE 6/9/2013 :goodvibes:cool1::yay::dance3:

Since it was our last night of our honeymoon I wanted it to be as romantic as possible. We got downstairs at 4:15 pm and the look on my wifes was PRICELESS when she saw the WHITE STRETCH LIMO I booked for us .
I was so focused on her facial expression I forgot to take a picture of her facial expression. We then took our short 5 minute ride to the Grand Floridian .

I had my wife sit down by Mizners while I snuck away to check into our evening’s private experience. A few minutes before 5 pm i took my wife over to sit in the waiting area between Citricos and Victoria & Albert’s. A few minutes later, we were escorted back to the Chef’s Table at Victoria & Albert’s .

Our 10 course meal was cavair with crab (third favorite course); octopus (this and the kobe beef were my fourth favorite courses); baguette (my wifes favorite of the three breads); lamb; butter poached lobster (our favorite course); brioche (my favorite of the three breads); poullete rouge; bison (i thought the bison at sanaa was better); kobe beef; third type of bread (i forget what it was called); the cheese plate (this and the lamb were my second favorite courses). For desert we got different desserts since i am allergic to chocolate. My wife had an apple desert that had chocolate. I had a banana desert with banana mousse. These first deserts we liked much better than the other deserts. Our sencond deserts were a dark chocolate for my wife, and a vaniila bean crème brulee. We then got a picture with the entire staff. They gave us a complimentary eleventh course of fruit candies
(I call them that, not sure of what they called them). They then came and gave us our personalized menus, a complimentary rose for my wife and a complimentary bread for us to take home with us.

Wow that is a lot of Chef's !! I am going to Kona in December !!My first time there , I want to try the Big Kahuna !!! Think it will be way to much food but , I have been eyeing it up for a very long time !!!

I thought about trying it. There was just too many items on it I would not eat. I went with the Samoan and really enjoyed it. My wife also really enjoyed the Tonga Toast. I would try that if you like banana and french toast.

I am not much of a sweet breakfast person,I don't like syrup on pancakes , so I am sure I will ask for the pineapple on the side for the Big Kahuna , :goodvibes

We want to thank AMY and DON who were our main servers. We also want to thank CHEF AIMEE who was a wonderful host chef for us .

The only complaint I have is that Chef Scott Hummell was not there tonight. Sundays are his night off. We gave this magical experience at Victoria & Alberts an overall rating of 6.5 stars out of 5 stars. We then took the boat from Grand Floridian to the magic kingdom; and the boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge.
