OK First off, I am freaking out a bit that my ticker says less then 6 months to go
Anyways, sorry I have been MIA (again) the studio is eating up my life, but I have a good amount of students enrolled now, so the next 2 weeks will be crazy but then I can settle into a routine of teaching everyday (and being on here everyday again
)
So without further ado... The TR is about to begin!
We woke up bright and early for our 7am flight out of Logan, we had a pretty uneventful flight and trip to the hotel (which is always nice). We stayed at the Marriott Cyrprus Harbour by Sea World with DM, DD, DB, DF and I. It was a nice relaxing hotel and since we had a 2 bedroom villa it gave everyone space to do their own thing. I do not have any pics of the hotel though (I know Bad Diser, but I will make it up with PS pics).
The first day we just relaxed by the pool, had a Mai Tai with lunch (hey it's vacation right!) and took a quick nap before dinner at DTD. Our dinner at EOS and WP (everyone picked and we ate outside) was wonderful as always. I had my rigatoni bolognese which is fabulous if you have never had it! Then it was back to the hotel for a swim and then bedtime
Nothing overly exciting happened, just got to enjoy the Florida sunshine with the fam! Oh but I did create a bit of a monster with my mother and the Basin Store in DTD, I think she spent more then I did was trying all the soaps at the sink lol! But it gave me some good ideas for her X-Mas gift thats for sure! I also bought my Tables in Wonderland card, while thinking about our wedding trip, I realized that the DP wasn't really worth it for us since Dave doesn't eat desserts, so we decided to go the TIW route and figured we would save more $$ that way, and it would allow us to get apps and drinks which is nice
The next day Dave and I hit up AK in the morning (gotta love the AP's for DFTW!), we did all the fun stuff, EE twice, KRR twice, KS, and dinosaur. We also managed to see King Louie and Baloo and Flick (who I hadn't seen before so I was happy!)
Then we headed to Flame Tree BBQ for lunch and had a yummy salad with BBQ chicken on it (and used the TIW card) and I had Key Lime Pie for dessert (Dave had a Bud Light for dessert lol) I had never eaten here before and really enjoyed it, very quick service and very fresh food. And the key lime pie was yummy!
After that it was about time to head back, it was noon and unbearably hot so we decide to call it a day at AK and go for a swim
This was a good call because I was a bit ill from the sun that day, so a rest and a cool swim was just what I needed to perk up again
. On this trip we used the pool all the time, I read 3 books in a week while sitting and walking around in the pool which is rare, but soooooo wonderful to do. I love reading on vacation
So we swam and hung with the family playing rummikub by the pool, took naps and went to Bongo's in DTD for supper. Bongo's is one of my familys faves! It is a Cuban restaurant run by Gloria Estefan and family, but the food is wonderful and very authentic. Since we live in MA not FL it is pretty rare to find awesome Cuban food, and since we are Cuban it is our fave, so Bongos is always a stop for us! Then we were in the gift shop and I found the Bongos Cookbook for sale, so I bought it up for DD for X-Mas (I am one of those weirdo's who does their Christmas shopping in the summer lol) so I did my little happy dance ----> like this
and hid the bag with the book in my purse so DD wouldn't see it lol!
Up next Day 3, a Disney Day with the family
