This is the first time for us at Sea World. DS will be 5 while we are there and DD 9. What not to miss, and can we see everything in 1 day?

Sea World is a wonderful park - you will enjoy it. We have done much of the park in a day, but it is large, and you will walk a lot.

Absolutely feed the dolphins. See the Clyde & Seamore show - esp for your 5yo. See Shamu, of course. The Shamu playground is a great place for the kids to run off some steam later in the day. There are two major rides - Kraken roller coaster and Journey to Atlantis - depending on your kids whether these are must do's or not - both are good rides.

Fit in whatever else you can based on the show schedules and where you are in the park.

Have a wonderful time! We'll be there in a couple of weeks! Can't wait!

For fun, for those ages, I would rank Clyde and Seamore as the funniest show, with Shamu having the most "wow" factor, Pets ahoy is the "cutsiest " show ( a bit too cutesy possibly for teenagers) . For learning about conservation the Manatees is a must do. Kids that age love to feed the dolphins, seals/sealions and the stingrays. There are good walkthrough exibits for sharks and penguins. Wild Arctic has a simulator ride at the begining of a walkthrough that generally is popular with youngsters as well. Nearly forgot, Cirque de la Mer is a pretty good show as well. If you've ever thought about going to Cirque du Soleil but balked at the $$$$ cost, here's a free show that has a couple of acts that are similar in style to the more expensive du Soleil.

It's easy to need more than just one day for SW, particularly with younger kids who like to spend time at the feeding exibits and in Shamu's happy harbour playground. If it fits into your schedule second "free day" at SW is usually one that's wel spent. ( SW usually offers 2nd day free if used within 7 days of your first visit. The booths to validate your ticket for this are just inside the park, on your left as you enter.

Yeah totally agree sea world is worth 2 days nice relaxing day great shows great rides and free beer:jester:

We just returned from our 5th trip to Seaworld in 2 years. Our 7 year old loves it and prefers it over Disney. We usually do at least 2 days there on each trip, we purchased the passports we go so often.

Our daughters favorites are feeding the dolphins, Pets Ahoy, Shamu and the sharks. Our favorite is the Cirque de le Mer show, which our daughter also loves. It is a great show and nice place to take a rest.
