Should I pay for preferred location?

I'm making my final payment this week for Pop Century. I know there is not much info out there yet, but should I pay for rooms in the preferred section? We have one wheelchair unit and a connecting room reserved. It would be nice to be near the food court and parking, since we use our own van, not WDW transportation. I remember most rooms at All Stars as being very far from parking.

As you say, we don't know. What I would suggest is FIVE days prior to your scheduled arrival call the hotel directly, asking to speak to the "rooms assigner". (Five days out is when the reservtion information is transferred from the Reservations system to the hotel's computer.) Explain your situation and what your needs are. That is the person who can actually make the decision of the specific rooms that you receive. Make sure they are aware that you have a reservation for an accessible rom AND a connecting room.

When you are amking final payment might be too late to change to preferred. Since no one has stayed there yet, we don't know much about the accesible rooms, so it's possible you will be located close to everything.
I think calling and asking for the room assigner is a good idea. I don't know if you can get any assistance from WDW Resort Special Reservations at
(407) 939-7807
(407) 939-7670 [TTY]
this close to your arrival, but I might try calling them first to see.
