Small glitch with ADR booking today

I was unable to make reservations online at Narcoossee's and Yachtsman SH for my party of 9 even though there was plenty of availability for smaller party sizes. I decided to call and had to make two reservations for each restaurant, splitting the party into 5 and 4. The agent assured me that I would just need to explain the situation at check in and we would have no problem being seated together. She also stated that I didn't need to worry about holding two reservations at the same time for the same restaurant since the party sizes were different. Anyone have experience with this?
