I assumed it wasn't, but then something happened today that made me wonder. I got an Email from DVC telling me about these great, all new benefits for 2022. Then, to get the specifics, I had to follow a link to the DVC website. Under the members benefits it listed that tour, telling me that it's now been extended-to 2020! So now I'm really confused-on one hand, DVC wants me to know that these are 2022 benefits, but this one's been extended to 2020?! And it makes me wonder-what ever happened to this tour?

Given that there aren't even annual passes right now and there are therefore almost no member benefits to speak of, it makes sense that Disney would have to.... exaggerate.... those member benefits to try to sell direct points.

What exactly was this tour? We purchased just before the pandemic hit so never heard of it.

Here's the link on the DVC Member website: https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/member-events/soarin-tour/

While we never took this tour, from what I recall, there was VERY limited space, it took place on Wednesdays prior to park opening, and you needed park admission separately. There was no cost if memory serves.
We tried, unsuccessfully, to book this several times,

It also happened at Disney California Adventure and was much easier to book there. It was great.

The /discounts-perks-offers/ section has been a joke for years. This isn't the Pandemic. They have stuff out there rhat expired in 2018-2019, so they can't tell me they're slow to update because of COVID.

But that "popular Member experience has been extended through 2020!" !!!!

We enjoyed the Soarin Tour at WDW, and I hope it becomes available again.

Go here:
https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/#/events-experiences,tickets-tours
Click on Animation 101.
Discover Stitch ate the page.

But it looks like there's a benefit if you don't click.

And the page (https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/member-events/animation-class/) has been dead a LONG time - Google has dropped it from index.

This one offers you a complete 2020 schedule for booking, oh wow: https://disneyvacationclub.disney.g...ffers/member-events/tastings-reunion-station/

Ooh, offered through December 29, 2020: https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/member-events/painting-with-a-view/

Option A (incompetence) is that they don't have anyone whose job it is to facilitate or contract member benefits, and thus this page only gets touched to ADD things, not subtract, and kinda randomly at that.

Option B (malice) is they know it's trash but think it looks good ("so many benefits!") and anyway maybe they'll bring back these things with 2019-2020 end dates, that's why there's a disclaimer.

My money is on Option B: Better to have a page full of wonderful non-existent benefits that they'd love to offer if it wasn't for mean old Covid, than blank space showcasing what they actually are offering.

We did it at DCA in 2018 or 2019, it was very interesting. DCA was much easier to get than Epcot. The thing I remember is standing down in "the pit" and watching the seats rise up.

Just picking this thread up again. Anyone know if this is up and running again? How far in advance can you book?
