It's that hump day feeling.

I seem to be busy with lots of little things. I think most of it is done now. Still a few papers to shuffle around, but the bulk of my day is complete.

We have another beautiful hot day here. And as I/we predicted - we are now under a fire ban. NO open fires anywhere. No use of gun/target/fireworks or anything with any type of explosive activities as well. We had just got our fir permit so we could use our firepit in the backyard. I guess we will be holding off on using that for the time being.

With all the hot weather, the leaves are popping out and our trees are starting to look like trees again. Early spring here compared to last year where it was mid-June before we had this level of green.

@Charade67 that you are having a weekend away and that you will be able to celebrate no more working on assignments.

@Lynne G I agree about the kids growing up learning the technology. I'm not tech savy - so I will be the senior that will need kids and grandkids to help me with it and of course tease me about it too

@schumigirl I hope your having an awesome trip. Wait times and temperature look amazing!!!!

Well, I should go shuffle a few more papers and do more shredding. I think our shredder is slowly dying. I can't even shred two bins that are full and it overheats

I haven’t been online much at all Mac…….on vacation I very rarely post……too busy enjoying family time, but no issues when I did log in.




What a fabulous trip this has been so far…….weather, park time, family time and food have all been wonderful.

Caught up with friends which has been lovely……and our park times have been fun, very few crowds, although from Sunday there is a massive IBM conference and they have bought out thousands of rooms, resorts will be busy.

Had dinner in Orchids tonight, beautiful as always, but loving our time here so far.

Will be up early to watch the Coronation in the morning………a special moment in history for us.

Ah, still a little overcast, and heater still on, as 44 degrees out now. But yay, most of the day, will be full of sunny weather, and the heater should not go on in the afternoon, when the high temp of 70 degrees is outside. House may feel a bit too warm, as house faces mostly East, and nature should be heating the house most of the day, with those sunny conditions starting not much after sunrise.

And so, yep I’m up in that before sunrise time. Took a little viewing of the coronation, as other than news, where some is not even that new or live, at least that English news is live and new. Everyone looked happy and thought some pretty dresses.

Weekend is here. Woot! A time to see a movie and then the next day, to see my sister. Plans, anyway.

Have a super stupendously happy Saturday today. Hope all are enjoying nicer weather like me. And I am so ready for some Florida heat. Woot should be in the air soon enough. Yay! And 4 days until I say I have a Temple University graduate. Yay!

Hope Keisha is having a blast on her suite room cruise.

Tea for me and some quiet. Yay for two more lazy days.

Good morning. Nothing much going on here. B came home yesterday afternoon. She was completely shocked when we told her that dh's old car is now hers. We are having someone come over on Wednesday and do a complete detail on it. It really needs it. DH wasn't good about keeping his car clean. We were going to go to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner, but I remembered that it was Cinco de Mayo and knew it would be too crowded. We will go there for lunch today.
I spent most of yesterday cleaning the lower level of the house. I encountered something, a yellow jacket I think, in the laundry room. I tried spraying it with the only thing I could find - kitchen insect spray that didn't have much of a reach. Then I tried hitting it with a broom, but that only made it mad. It finally flew behind the dryer and stopped making noise, so I hope it is dead.
This afternoon dh and I are goin to a town about 2 hours away to see a comedian. I asked B if she wants to go with us, but she said no. I her that she was in charge of feeding the cat tonight and tomorrow morning. We decided to stay overnight because neither of us wanted to drive back home that late at night through an unfamiliar area.

Re rental cars…if u use auto slash can select costco as a search discount with tons of other affiliations. They run all u select at same time. Even if u have already booked on ur own? can enter info there and they will monitor pricing, then sending u notifications when price drops.

I’m a huge fan of the site. They funnel
Thru Priceline, where u can input reward info for whomever I book And walk to Garage & grab/go if u r qualified as to ur memberships. It’s been hertz or Alamo for us last few years.

Hit small in casino last night. Decided I need this statue. I look snookered. Just tired after 8 hrs on beach; well, a little lit lol

Got up early to see the coronation this morning, loved it all and enjoyed seeing our new King and Queen crowned. We are huge supporters of the Royal Family, excluding the obvious Harry and Andrew of course. The British do ceremonies like this so well and we were proud to watch history being made.

Laundry this morning and a catch up with some friends. Kyle has signed up to run a 5K tonight so we’ll head off later to watch him do that, one of his aims was to a run over here, so I hope he enjoys it.

Little cloudy this morning, getting sunnier by the minute, but as we’re not going out till later, doesn’t matter, it’s still hot. I’m sure others are hotter though..

Food today will be whatever we feel like when we‘re hungry, enjoyed a nice breakfast again and some good company……it’s nice to have a lazy day, with such a long trip, we’re ok with that.

Off to bring our clothes out of the dryer……..the fun never ends……

Yep, recognize Keisha. When we were on our January cruise, there was at least 8 or 9 boats in, if I can remember. We were on Magic, so ours looked little compared to the others we saw. Great pictures, thanks for sharing. And ack, to the medical emergency again, thus causing missing a port call. What can ya do. At least safe and on holiday. Woot! Beach time. Woot!

Sigh, it’s a good thing I booked the movie at a late lunchtime.

Nice B is home, and got the old car, Charade. That’s what we did with my older one. He still is using my old car. Enjoy your comedy show. Good to relax after it, instead of driving back late at night after the show.

Movement in the kids’ rooms? About time. I guess moving a bit fast if they want foid before the movie. We tend to not eat or drink at the theater. Else an early dinner, and all will be starving by then.

Tea and crumpet always makes me laugh for some reason……..lol……yes, it was rather early!

Yes, this will be his first run over here. One of the VIP co-ordinators is running it and told him about it, so he signed up last night, hopefully his ankle will hold out, but it’s only 5K which he can run in his sleep. Sounds fun, it’s a Cinco de Mayo theme, so lots of food trucks which I of course won’t eat but I might have a margarita or two!!

Should be perfect running weather as it’s a little cloudy right now. Will keep you updated……

Oh isn’t it just the best to dress up for dinner. I never understood folks that don‘t make that extra effort. You’ll look lovely, can’t go wrong with a LBD. Yes, you should sparkle!!






Having cuppa tea in lounge….then will go get changed and head out to where this run is being held, not too far away. He’s really looking forward to it.

Been a lovely day catching up with friends it seems, nice though. We have one friend arriving next week for a visit then we have no other folks to meet which will be lovely too.

How neat is that Charade.. I hope he’s good and gives good laughs.

Movie was okay. A little too long for my book, but whatever. I did like it in parts. Am a fan of Beastie Boy songs, so was rocking with one of their songs in the movie.

As thought, by the time the kids got ready, and unexpected and unexplained heavy traffic, our usual 15 minute drive was just over 1/2 hour. Luckily, none seen by the time we got out. And kids were starved. So was I. Hence early dinner of a lot of Chinese food. It did fill the bellies up. The place we go, always seems consistently good. We have used them for years, as never been sick from any of the food we have ordered. We tried a place my one brother likes. I got sick. Places say they have no msg, but they can lie. Not sure, but the symptoms I get when I ingest food with msg applied to it, is what I got after eating at that other place. Hence we stick with the place we always go to.

Now, chill time. Little one wants to walk down to the gelato place later tonight. I’m game. It’s about a 2 block walk, and we can cut through a large parking lot to get there quick. Other than vanilla and chocolate, he varies the other flavors, so not sure what flavors are this week. It’s very good, and he’s a small business in my little town, so I like to support him.

Me, Saturday night? Soon to be in my pajamas, and watching whatever gets my interest, and working on a puzzle little one gave to me.

Ah that early Sunday morning. Wash done, so I get that dryer warm towels for my shower. Ready for it soon.

Birds are chirping, that cardinal has been saying it’s my area almost every morning now. Nice we have cardinals around. And last night, we saw very small red colored birds, two of them. Wasn’t male cardinals, as birds were much smaller. Eh, I can look up, but was nice to see them in the early evening clear blue sky.

Beautiful sunrise and sunshine pouring into my windows. 76 the high. Shorts on, I think. Hehe, older one said our warmest day this week is the day we leave. No matter, I’m sure we will have just as hot or hotter day when we arrive in that early morning. Let’s see what my phone says. 88 the high predicted for Orlando. So 4 degrees hotter than where we will be leaving from. Okay with me. Time of year mostly packing shorts and t shirts. Toss a sweatshirt jacket and a pair of lightweight pants, and that’s all that needed. Little one wants to go on the water rides, as we haven’t done them the last couple of times we visited. And so, will toss two or three bathing suits in there. Nice to have one drying and at least one dry. Will see what the warmest day is when we are there, and that will be our water ride fun morning. We do the water rides in the late morning, then go back, freshen up and find some late lunch somewhere. And have more park fun.

But as a Sunday, it’s still the weekend, so lazy one for me. DH will be sounding that lawnmower noise by lunchtime. As dewy wet grass until later in the morning. So he’s relaxing like me. Kids are still sound asleep. Will hear older one first, as he works today. Then I asked little one to go up my sister’s, as giving her some of the treats we bought on the boardwalk, as she likes them too. Then on way back, will pick up a treat for my MIL, as a store half way between me and my sister has that particular treat that she much enjoys, that we seem to only find in that Asian and International food store. Where my kids find Mexican soda they like, and eat spicy wings made fresh by a little place in the back of the store. We pick up fresh Asian bakery items near that wings place sometimes. It’s a neat grocery store.

And it’s that day I set the alarm, and time to fill those trash cans. Sound of rolling trash cans will be from later this afternoon until the early evening. Not many are up before the trucks start coming around 7 am tomorrow. Yep, our Sunday. And woot! Next Sunday starting the week right, with our Mother’s Day. It’s almost mid May all.

Have a wonderful time this Sunday. A day I hope all find relaxing some, and hopefully feeling good. I hope Charade and her DH had some good laughs last night, and safe ride home later this morning. Hope Keisha is still enjoying her cruise. More sea days means more pool fun, but sad no port to come, but at least you had some beach fun so far.

Ooh more tea. Why yes I am and then a nice hot long shower.

Shower was delightful and DH getting ready to mow grass. Waiting until around 10, so as to not be rude in making noise outside. I think all should be okay with that time to hear a lawnmower. And our lawn definitely needs mowing.

Shorts are on. Yay for me. And house feels just right. Not too warm nor too cold. Porridge. LoL

Lizard weather……loving it!

This has been such a chilling trip, lots of down time catching up with people.

We just got back in from New Smyrna Beach, Kyle had never been to that one before and it was lovely. Waves were a little wild, but we did manage a splash or two in the water together. They’re both snoozing, think Kyle is still getting over a kind of 24 hour thing and Tom……well, he’ll snooze anytime!

Feeling like a steak tonight…….delightful.

Cinco de Mayo took over menu. Put in request for special grilled chicken breasts & salad. That demon cilantro will be in every single dish I’m told. Hmmph

It’s just Too easy to come aboard as a passenger & get rolled off as cargo

Other than walking to the buffet twice, my exercise today consisted of thrashing the mr in a game of cornhole. Not that we are competitive or anything lol. Mini golf next sea day. Not about to do flow rider or rock climbing walk, fun to watch tho

we loved the Coronation. We do have a lovely sense of history in our country for sure and do put on a good show.

Has the look of a younger rod Stewart. Not my cuppa, as a cross between a tenor and opera singer. He looked snookered to point he was weaving on his stool in alarming fashion and chain smoking in the no smoking section. Grrr Appears they managed to prop him up just fine for 2nd show lol

Sister visit was nice. We get along so good. She’s off tomorrow, but we miss each other with us coming and her going back home. Oh well. She’ll be on an island, I’m going to be landlocked. Different airports.

Little one said she was getting excited. Me too. Fun week. Graduation on Tuesday and ending the week on a before dawn flight. Woot!

Ate a huge lunch, so no one really hungry for dinner. Think each will snack when they feel hungry.

Trash cans now at the curb, with a light rain falling to be only a 10 minute event. As if we haven’t had a day without rain. But at least lawn looks good, mowed and edged nicely.

Relaxing with some tea. What an evening should be.

Congrats to Kyle on his race, seeing the picture reminded me of my running days of yore. None for about 20 years now, my hips won't take it. My son does a yearly 10K in Richmond, I think it's called the Monument 10K, did it a few weeks ago. He likes it because he uses it as an excuse to get together with some of his undergrad buddies and professors.
I pulled out my carryon and started tossing items into it. I also ironed all the sundresses I'm bringing. This week I'll get my outfits arranged, go get the cash for tips, etc. I'll probably call HRH and let them know I don't want an "upgrade" to a pool room with all the noise like last time. This time I want my usual nice quiet view of the back of the hotel.

He likes it because he uses it as an excuse to get together with some of his undergrad buddies and professors.
I pulled out my carryon and started tossing items into it. I also ironed all the sundresses I'm bringing. This week I'll get my outfits arranged, go get the cash for tips, etc. I'll probably call HRH and let them know I don't want an "upgrade" to a pool room with all the noise like last time. This time I want my usual nice quiet view of the back of the hotel.

Thanks Aurora…….yes, hips and knees aren’t keen on running at all……I admire anyone who can run, Kyle makes it look so easy but I know the hard work going into training. Glad your son enjoys it too. Kyle loves half marathons and is doing a half marathon in September and a full marathon in October this year, so he’ll be working all the chocolate cakes off when he gets back…..lol……

Nice to start getting organised for your trip, yes that might be a good idea to call and mention your last trip and the not so good pool view experience. They’ll work with you I’m sure…….getting closer now!




Wide awake this morning and watching the sunrise…….beautiful.

Park this morning then we’ve been invited over to PBH by the new concierge manager to meet her and see the lounge again, we knew her a few years ago when she was a supervisor at RP. Lovely lady.

Then…….no idea……we’ll decide later…….

Ag that Monday feeling. Laptop said not opening sone wonky sign on. Hmm, rebutted and all is fine. Monday feeling. Yeah.

But gloriously sunny start to today. Another yay in the mid 70’s high temp, so even though 50 out now, shorts on. Woot! Even that light rain around dinnertime last night wax okay. Warmer days. Woot!

Most of the trash has already been picked up. Heard three trucks so far. Thinking the yard trash truck is always the latest one.

And so, that back to routine week day today. Wash, errands and bill payments will be done at the end of my shortest week day routine Friday. Oh and getting the luggage out probably after shutting off the laptop. Yay, next week, days of play and relaxing.

And should have used suntan lotion when we were down the shore. Little one asked to go there when we were already out doing an errand. So didn’t even think, with the rain and cloudy day, I needed it. Wrong. Face a light red. Oops. Her? Nothing red at all. She feels her legs, even though I’m much fairer, aren’t tanned enough. By the time we get back, she will be so tan, and I will hopefully not be burnt looking. Sigh. Both my kids tan dark like their dad. So ready for the heat and relaxing. And nothing like coming on a very early flight. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Choice of the only two direct flights that day? That very early flight or late night flight. We much rather have more time to play, even if the first night has an earlier bedtime, rather than arriving after midnight. We have been delayed and arrived even after midnight one time, 3:30 an arrival, from a should have been 4 pm takeoff flight. Was a very annoying way to start our vacation. And so, we have no issue with planned early arriving flights. I’ll probably sleep some. I think little one will sleep late and stay up until we leave. She may not be the only one sleeping on our flight.

Thus, yay for Aurora getting ready too. We tend to be very late packers. At least whatever is forgotten, most likely can be bought there.
