Glad to see you "keep swimming" Scupper.
1) Sometimes seems a little Swimming Upstream and/or Against the current, but, yes, still swimming.
2) While out yesterday for doctor appointments, stopped at Sanaa for lunch (one of our fav lunch spots).
3) Picked the wrong day (busy-wise), but had fun.
. . . the SEATER at the podium knows MrsRustyScupper, and asked if we wanted a PRIMO table. (We said somewhere quiet was nice - she laughed.)
. . . it was Manager Appreciation Day, and salaried folks could stroll in a get a table. (Park Hourly CM's get free hot dogs and chips on Appreciation Day, managers get "real" food.)
. . . the Lunch-With-An-Animal-Specialist was underway near us (huge table with only one CM - she got really loud trying to talk to her 12-person group)
. . . All Star Sports had a positively large group of managers and marketing-types entertaining sport-group clients (They took almost the entire "side room" of Sanaa.)
. . . the "usually quiet" restaurant was more like a deafening roar
. . . but, we got used to it
4) A guy from AS-Sports came over and bought me a Mai-Tai to repay "favors" I did for him and some of his guests. (A really nice gesture on his behalf.)
5) Food was good, and as expected.
. . . we had the bread-service with all its side accompaniments. ALWAYS a highlight of Sanaa.
. . . due to the size of the lunch crowd, it took 25-minutes to get the bread, but the Mai-Tai's held us over until then.
. . . we did appetizers for lunch, and this filled us to the brim, and could even finish them
. . . did not even have room for dessert
NOTE: Our favorite Sanaa lunch-time SERVER is not there, as she was able to move to the dinner crowd (better tips). The lady at the podium made sure we got "TIM", instead. Very pleased with him. I like it when SERVERS come around frequently to see if you are satisfied and if you need any attention. It makes you feel like the SERVER is really a WAITER of long-ago. (Do people even remember the quality level of true "waiters"?). Personal Opinion: I don't like the title SERVER, I want to be waited-upon, not just "served food".
