Great pictures at AOA.
You can't go wrong starting with coffee and then a ride on POTC.
Oh and now you are going to lunch to one of my favorite places.
I don't know what happened, but basically as soon as we sat down, the antics began. You can't leave us unattended for too long.
It all started out nice and innocent.
Yeah. Don't even have words for this one. I'm sure the people at the table behind us thought we were clinically insane.
I am all over the floor...this is hysterical.
Yup. Like children at a table. We're examples of the kids you get upset with at dinner! You know, acting up all the time, can't sit still, acting like fools. That's us.
You guys are the best.
I ordered the tavern fried cheese. Mainly for 2 reasons.
1) It's fried.
2) It's cheese.
I love the tavern fried cheese there.
Pop got the clam chowdah. Bahaha, sorry for real, I couldn't resist.
I had the chowder last visit and it was really good.
How did he feel about his chowdah?
That's our Popadon.
My selection for lunch was the cheeseburger. It's good everyone, like really really good. And these fries are legit!
I agree (but I still like Plaza's French fries better).
Pop got the pot roast.
Mark's favorite.
Mom got the salad. It's really good too! We actually split the salad and the burger between us.
Ooooh...that looks yummy.
At some point during the meal, I believe that Pop started misbehaving or something. Because he got shamed, and this picture was the end result.
As a side note, the men in my family all do this. I'm not exaggerating at all. My Pop does it, my brother Jason does it, and my nephew Joaquin does it. You tell them something they don't want to hear, and they begin to fake pout almost immediately. Sad state of affairs with these guys. We don't fall for it at all!
I swear that Mark and Popadon are related somehow because Mark pulls the same thing ALL OF THE TIME!
And now ladies and gentlemen, I bring you to the entire reason I wanted to eat at Liberty Tree.
Not for fried cheese.
Not for a burger and scrumptious fries.
Not for the salad. Hahahahahaha. Sorry that was funny when I typed it.
Nope. The entire reason to go there was this beauty.
It looks great.
Ooey. Gooey. Toffee. CAKE!
Otherwise known as, I just drooled all over myself.
And then this was me while I devoured the entire thing.
This is now officially my favorite Disney dessert ever. It trumps everything I've had up until this point. Better than cupcakes, better than cake cups, ugh. I can't even.
Mark would tend to agree with you...he loves it (I don't like toffee).
Mom did order the other dessert they have. It's craisin cake, which is what they have at dinner during the buffet. It's very yummy, it's just no ooey gooey toffee cake.
I always get the Martha Washington Chocolate Cake.
So, based on this assessment, I say that Liberty Tree is so much better at lunch than it is at dinner. Hands down, so good. Nothing disappointed.
I never had dinner there, but then I am not a "Thanksgiving" dinner type person. But I do love the LTT for lunch.
No big deal, just a hitchhiking ghost sitting on my Doom Buggy.
I've never been able to get that photo.
I'm going to put you out of your misery early. We didn't get to go on the Mine Train again that day. We ended up waiting in line for 40 minutes, the ride shut down, and they escorted us out. NOT the way that I wanted to end my final day at Disney, but what can you do right?
That's too bad.
We figured that was a sign that it was time for us to leave, so we headed out of the park. Our plane was sadly calling.
Good bye Magic Kingdom. We love you and we always know that we'll see you soon.
No dramatics involving our trip home, which was good. We had a nice flight, no issues, left on time. And a full day to recover with the memorial day holiday, yay!
Up next: Trip highlights.
Always good when it is a smooth flight home.
