Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Harry Potter, both the books and the movies. One of the best things about this series is that multiple generations can discuss the same book/movie. How often does that happen?

Indiana Jones- Well done, and very entertaining, IMO!

Trixie Belden books from when I was young. I had no time for Nancy Drew, I was a HUGE Trixie fan. Just wish I hadn't lost all of mine in a basement-flooding fiasco.

Afternoon hugs to all. I am possibly a lone in this thread not a Harry Potter fan at all. Of course always I am a fan with much appreciation always of all of kind you. We a enjoy different and similar things. How grateful extra to God daily I am that He brought us all together on kindness.
LOL, I was never enamored with Harry but did enjoy the movies long after they came out.

As I said to Pixie3, sorta a long list....

Books
The Gray Man - Mark Greaney
Mitch Rapp series - Vince Flynn
Scott Harvath series - Brad Thor
Tom Clancy series with Jack Sr and and Jack Jr

Movies/TV series
Game of Thrones
Star Wars -and the off shoots
Indy
Bourne
Chicago PD
Friends
Yellowstone
Pirates of the Carribbean - Avast, how can I be the first to mention this as a fav!?!?

Speaking of Pirates, just a random off the wall random quote from Capt Barbossa - "the code is more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules" This is applied liberally when I play golf.

Cheers!

Happy Friday!

#1 - My Coffee - The pot has a timer and is always ready when I wake up. That smell as I’m walking down the stairs is a great way to start the day.

#2 - Potpourri from my Grandmas house - She had it in a vase with some fake flowers in it. It remains the same way as it was when she passed away in 2006. Sometimes I smell it to take me back to her house and to give me comfort when I need it. I still miss her very very much.

#3 - Incense at Mass - It makes me want to sneeze and cough, but I still love it.

Another vote for coffee!

Candles

Oh my gosh - I have of those too! Mine is a little ceramic thing with potpourri inside it. It used to sit by the sink at my grandma's.

Puppy Breath...not that I'm in any mood to care for a puppy right now, but I love the smell.
The trail of perfume and body spray the girls leave behind when they leave the house in the morning.
New car...mine is about 3 years old and has lost it with all of the road trips, but I can still catch a whiff in DH's truck.

How did I miss that? My son and I quote the Pirates movies on a daily basis! "what a man can do and what a man can't do" "not all treasure is silver and gold, mate"

Smells
1. Peony, Lily of the Valley, Lilac
2. The smell of the Beach Club. I have one on those magic candles, but I won't burn it. 🤣 Just smell it.
3. Rain

Also, a side weird thing...I still have a Love's Baby Soft candle from when I was a kid. It's in a tin with a lid and it still smells. I did find a cheap spray of it at the drug store.
