Someone I follow on Instagram is heading back to the fantasy on July 1Surgeon’s daughter has been called back to the Fantasy for Oceaneer’s staff. He either didn’t know or wasn’t willing to share more details.
Hopefully we hear more about a third ship for DCL coming online (or moving through that process) soon!
We must follow the same person, because I saw that also. hahahaahhSomeone I follow on Instagram is heading back to the fantasy on July 1
Since I am on the Labor Day cruise, Murphy's Law dictates you are correct. My money is on September for DCL. First cruise after Labor Day. Just a gut feeling.
I just saw an article on it. Four sailings on the Odyssey of the Seas have been cancelled due to this. The positive tests were 6 days after the ship arrived in the US, and it said the crew wasn't vaccinated until after the ship arrived in the US. So the ship traveled from Europe to the US with a mostly unvaccinated crew. Given the tight living quarters of the crew, I'm surprised it's only 8 crew members.RC just had a setback with 8 crew testing positive

Most likely. I guess I should have said "only 8 so far."Oh there will be more

No real consensus, but Dream is scheduled to run its test cruise on June 29 - which would give the mid/late August cruises a decent shot at happening. What is the consensus here on what is the month that the first "pre-scheduled"/non-test cruise will happen? August? October? December? 2022?
It happened before the allowed time to be fully vaccinated, but some RCCL crew tested positive after been vaccinated. Waiting the full time period seems important!

I follow a former DCL CM who works on the Odyssey. They weren't going to be sharing cabins until the staff was fully vaxxed. He had a guest cabin (with balcony) until they got to the US, then moved into a crew cabin by himself for a bit. So that's probably why there aren't more cases. Some crew were partially vaxxed already. This crew member had to fly to London recently to get his second shot as we don't have Astrazeneca in the US and they didn't want to mix shots.I just saw an article on it. That seems like good news and might line up well with the next scheduled cruises on the Fantasy.Someone I follow on Instagram is heading back to the fantasy on July 1

Late August. Test cruises require a 14-day data collection after disembark, then CDC has to issue the certification. So they won't be revenue sailing right after the test. Add ~20 days.Assuming test cruise at the end of July, early August?
