hi this is our first visit with the kids, we have chosen not to have a car how easy or hard is it to visit all the major attractions this way?

To the themeparks or Downtown Disney you'll won't have problems. Resort hopping means a bus transfer at an operating themepark or Downtown Disney. The only real problems you'll run into is if you want to do an early meal before the themepark busses are operating at a Disney resort . Remember busses only start operating to the themeparks an hour before they open (go to a Magic Morning Park for a VERY early meal) and to DTD between 9-9:30 in the morning. You'll either need to be good at schmoozing a courteousy van from the resort you're at or take a taxi outside these hours.

We did this with 2 young kids in Nov 2001 and we LOVED not having to drive ourselves around. It really depends on where you are staying. If you are staying offsite, you really should consider getting a car because even the advertised "shuttles" are not reliable.

If you are staying onsite, the Disney transportation will be fine if you have a little patience waiting in line and dealing with crowds. We were pleased with the bus service from the All Star Movies.

Good luck,
Peggy

Character Breakfast Busses start running at 7:00am. They can take you to any theme park or resort for your breakfast.
