Last year, I remember trying to load my Amazon acct with small balance Amex GCs and Amazon kept putting a pending test charge on them and then declining the actual charge because the charge plus the test charge was more than my balance. Maybe this policy has changed, but it was a pain to deal with. I ended up using them, after the pending charges dropped off, in person at a store.

See, I'm pretty sure those things were my initial reaction every time I see DP on here, and I'm like 100% sure thats not what it means on disboards lmao.

I've never had that issue. I go to the gc page, put in how much is left on the card and then add the card. Then once it's done I delete the card.

I know Sams has had some changes online recently so I am not sure if this is still true, but I always use a split payment at Sams. They used to allow 2 different credit cards and gift cards to be combined.

I have never tried it personally, but I see in my paypal account they have an option to do a split payment.

Also, you can use the fluz app and buy an exact value gift card. Although some gift cards have a minimum of $15, but there are many that have a minimum of $10 or even $5.
