Video camera tip!

Just wanted y'all to learn from our mistake.

Before leaving for WDW, we didn't check our camera to make sure it was in working condition. It's less than a year old so we just assumed it would be fine. Well, when we arrived and DH started taping, the camera kept telling us that the head was dirty and needed to be cleaned. We looked all over WDW and never found a head cleaner for our camera. We coudn't tape anything because when the head is dirty it makes the picture REALLY choppy.

So, before you leave for WDW, it might be a good idea to clean the head of your video camera. :)

Thanks for the advice!:D

Here's another tip:

Our Sharp Hi8 camcorder worked excellent, except for one day when DH took the camcorder out of the camera bag before it had a chance to get accustomed to the outside air temp . . .camcorder was flashing "DEW" for a long time . . .unfortunately we missed some great early morning pics of MK before the crowds got in because of it.

Remember to let your camera get accustomed to the difference in air change temps before you try to use it. :D

Very true! Ours said "condensation" for almost a whole day before it would let us record again!!

Thanks for the info, we were planning on taking ours this trip for the first time. I would hate to have gotten there and had probs.
Sorry your camcorder was havifna hard time and hopefully next visit it will be ready to go.
