VIP, Villains and Vino With Jen and Joe on the Go New TR Link and this TR is COMPLETE!

Oh, and let me say...MMRR is the cutest ride EVER and Joe and I fell in love with it.
I am so excited to ride this someday!

They were so much fun. I tried to talk Vader into letting me join the Dark Side, but he dismissed me. WHAT!?!? I would have been a great asset...

Aw, such a shame!
The food and drink options here are the best out of all the dessert parties we have attended. There were 3 different alcohol based drinks, beer, wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and water. There were desserts galore and savory options like meats and marinated cheeses, pita bread, bean dip, hummus, and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious and Joe and I made our way to the buffet several times.

Now *that's* MY kind of after hours food event!

Joe's Birthday!!!

Today was Joe's birthday and the first order of business was packing up the room AGAIN and waiting for our room ready text from Destino Towers at Coronado Springs. This was our final resort of this trip and the one we were looking most forward to. We also had a very busy day ahead of us. We were starting with lunch at Beaches and Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club Resort.

We showered, got ready, packed up the room, repacked the car, and drove over to the Y&BC. We found parking and walked the rest of the way to the restaurant. We checked in at the podium and were quickly shown to our table.

I love the refurb. The restaurant is so much bigger and the tables aren't all smooshed together anymore. It's decorated with pictures of the Fab 5 everywhere.

Since we were on the DDP, we started with alcoholic milkshakes. I had the Not Your Father's Rootbeer Float and Joe had a Guinness shake. Both of these were really good and went down smooth. For apps, I had the loaded tots and Joe had a boring, old bowl of watermelon. For our entrees, I had a club sandwich and Joe had a Rueben (I think). For dessert, we both got strawberry milkshakes to go. We got them to go because we had received our room ready text and were super anxious to check out our resort before our next "plans" started...

Next up...We check into Destino Towers and RUN to our next destination...

The Star Wars Dessert Party looks great. I've never been too interested in any of the dessert parties but this one has peaked my interest many a times. Jason loves Star Wars like Joe and I love free flowing booze so I figure it would be a win, win. Hopefully they come back again so we can try it out.

Ok, who goes to Beaches and Cream and doesn't order a burger but gets watermelon????? I'll forgive Joe only because it was his birthday.

Seriously, the alcohol just keeps flowing at this party, which is a good thing!!!
We literally drank all day, lol!
Joe got the watermelon to make him feel like he was being healthy. LOL!
Jen xo

Mmm, boozy milkshakes sound delightful. How did I not know those existed?!

Those loaded tots look DELISH.

I'm excited to see your newest room, and find out what plans you had to run off to!

Gia is doing so much better. She saw the Cardiologist yesterday and got a clean bill of health. ❤
So, so happy to hear this news!!

This sounds amazing! It would be absolutely perfect for Jack and I next summer on his 21st birthday trip. I love how you had the character interactions and the stormtroopers escorting you to the fireworks!
I know, right!!! It seems like Universal is handling things a lot better at this point...
I am going to have to respectfully disagree here. I think Disney is being extremely smart and strategic with their plans. They are doing their best to minimize the amount of people. If they opened everything up, they wouldn't be able to keep it to the 25-30 % capacity. Plus keeping resorts locked down except for dining reservations ensures they know exactly how many people would be on resort at all times. If you look at US case numbers, there are serious spikes happening. I think Disney taking a slow and cautious response is the best approach.

Sounds delicious! I love milkshakes but they do not love me back at all so I am very jealous of you being able to have two! Beaches and Cream is always a favourite of mine!

Hi Suse! I think the problem I'm having is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what's planned to open and what's staying closed at this point. To me, it makes zero sense to open Enchanted Rose but not a restaurant like Citricos. The dining options are already limited. Disney has also not released a capacity number yet...

We seriously ate and drank waaaay too much this day...

From what I am noticing it seems like they are opening a counter service, sitdown, bar and pool side for each resort. I don't think they want to open too much as they don't really want too many people coming.

Believe me, if our border was open I would want to hightail it down to Wilderness Lodge and park myself at Geyser Point!

I have 2 words for you...

SANGRIA UNIVERSITY!!!!

Yep, this is a real thing and an event that Joe and I were able to attend on his birthday!
Also, probably the best thing I have EVER done at Disney.

We checked in about 15 minutes prior to class starting at the 3 Bridges Bar and Grill at Coronado Springs Resort. This is the new bar/lounge that went up at the same time as Destino Towers. The restaurant is beautiful and the views are phenomenal.

Things started off a bit rocky, as we were told to check-in at one time but weren't even acknowledged until close to 40 minutes after arrival. This event was so popular that they ended up having 2 classes at the same time, about 15 people in each class on either end of the restaurant.

After we took our seats, the class began with the history of sangria from our host. Then we were given 4 different types of sangrias to try and a special elote snack with chips made special for us by the chef. This was delicious and helped to soak down all that alcohol we were given. LOL! Finally, we were able to make our own sangria from a list of ingredients we were able to choose from, complete with a whole array of garnishes.

I don't want to give specifics of this class because I don't want to ruin it for anybody else who may want to take it if it is offered again in the future. However, I will say this class was only $35 pp and well worth the cost. We were given recipe cards with each of the 4 sangrias on them and had a photo op and received a "diploma" at the end of the class. We had so much fun and laughed a lot. If you'd like to see the class for yourself, check out our YouTube vlog at the end of this blog...

Next up...Joe and I FINALLY see our room at Destino Towers...

I had to look up "elote" because I had never heard of it. ;) Your Sangria University experience sounds like a lot of fun. I like Sangria and it would be nice to be able to get it to taste the way I like it. I hope the 40 minute wait was abnormal and not something that happens every time. My DH would have walked away after 15 minutes if he wasn't acknowledged by then.

I really enjoyed the blog and would definitely attend this university! In fact I’m pretty sure I’d take extra classes:rotfl: Such a great birthday treat 🍷🍹🎉
Thanks, Moira!
Joe and I were thinking about failing on purpose. LOL!

This was such a fun class. I hope they offer it again when all this COVID nonsense is done.
